LOVE ME BLIND

"Mom!!!". Isadora cried out to her mother from the corner of the house, An unknown gun was shot in the Air while she was laid down on a mat at the corner of the house staring into the shining moon, the particles fell into her eyes which made her scream.

Isadora is just a five-year-old intelligent girl with a bright future, she attended the best school in the town on scholarship, and not only that, she was known as the prettiest girl among her peers, she has the set of dazzling deep blue eyes with an oval face and golden brown hair, her skin glitter, and everyone tend to admire a lot. She was the pride of her mother after her father died when she was just a year old. Her mother has been her helping hand, she works as a cleaner in one of the richest man in the city, Mr.Frank.

"Isadora".Mrs.Lisa rushed to the corner of the house to see her only daughter whining in pain while robbing her eyes. "Isadora, what's it?".

"Mom, something fell into my eyes".She whines.

"What could that be?".She asked curiously while trying to see what fell into her eyes.

"Mom, please help me! I can't see anything".

"Just hold on, let me get water".She rushed inside and later came back with a bowl of water. "Come on, Isa, deep your face into the water and open your eyes".She instructed and Isadora did as she was instructed and she started complaining. "Oh my God, what's all this?".She panicked and then carried her up. "Let me take you to the hospital". She carries her on her back with his wrapper and walked away.

An hour later, the doctor was examining her eyes and he saw the particles that fell into her eyes, but it has already melted into her eye lens.

"Well".The doctor cleared his throat and turned her.

"Did something fall into her eyes?".She asked.

"Yes, I saw some particles in her eyes, and it has already affected her eye lens".

"What does that mean doctor?".

"Well, am sorry to say this, she won't be able to see with her eyes".He said and Mrs. Lisa was shocked.

"What?".She panicked.

"Am sorry, she can only see if there is a Donor and she will be fly out to India for the surgery".He said and Mrs.Lisa couldn't hold her tears as she fell on the floor sobbing.

"Please doctor, you have to help me, she is the only child I have, please!".

"Am sorry ma, I wish I could help".

Mrs.Lisa cried bitterly and the doctor consoled her, after a while, she took her daughter and they went home to continue her grief. Later at night, Isadora was seated close to her mother who was sobbing quietly.

"Mom, will I ever see again?".She asked and her mother turned to her

"Yes Isadora, you will see again, I will do everything possible to find a Donor and raise money for the surgery".She reassured her.

"How will that be possible Mom, we barely eat two square meals in this house, how will you raise the money? Is it through your cleaning job?".She asked.

"I will find other mini jobs to add to it".

"No, Mom, I won't let you go through that stress because of me, I am sure, there is another way and God will see us through".

"No, you will never remain like this, this is not your destiny, you have a bright future and the devil is trying to steal it away from you, that will never happen".

"It's fine Mom, God will make a way, he has reason for everything".

"You are too young for this pain, how about your school, how will you complete your education?".

"Everything will be fine".She smiled forcedly and rested her head on her mother's shoulder.

The next morning, Mrs. Lisa was set to visit Mr. Frank's house to seek help, but before she left she left her daughter for her neighbor to look after before she comes back. Some minutes later, she arrived at the mansion and the gate was open for her and she went inside.

Mr.Frank is a well-known businessman who deals in oil and gas and also cars, he owns the biggest company in America and has had many achievements even as a senator. He started investing in different businesses at a very early age with the help of his uncle who later betrayed him and ran away with all his saves, until he built it up again with the support of his girlfriend who he later took as his wife, Mrs. Elena. Although Mr.Frank lost his parents at a very tender age to go be with his betrayal of an uncle, his dream of becoming something in life never changed, he worked hard to become where he is today, there is a saying, behind every successful man, there is a woman and Mrs.Elena happened to be that woman.

Mr.Frank is quite a jovial man with a heart of gold, he helps a lot of people around him, unlike his wife, Mrs.Elena who is cruel and cold-hearted, everything irritates her, she has no respect for anyone and a lot of people tend to go to her husband than her. She owns the biggest supermarket in the city, She and her husband were blessed with two lovely boys; Andrew and Liam. Andrew is the eldest while Liam is the junior, they love themselves so much that they are always there to fight for each other. Liam is the cruel boy who takes after his mother's attitude, he bullies everyone, while Andrew takes after his father's attitude, and a lot of their peers tend to go to him for safety whenever Liam bullies them, he is always there to apologize for his brother's behaviors. Andrew's dream was to have a baby sister, he had complained to his parents about having a baby sister and his parents tried to birth another child after six years of having Liam, but the doctor said it was impossible because Mrs.Elena couldn't be able to convince again due to complication during her second pregnancy that led to miscarriage before Liam was born, it was a miracle Liam was born after she took in the third time, the doctor fear she couldn't survive it, but God did it and that's why she tend to love Liam more and give him whatever things he want.

"What are you doing here? Today is your day off, why are you here?".Mrs.Elena asked from the staircase immediately she caught sight of Mrs. Lisa entering the living room.

"Good morning ma".She greeted with a bow and Mrs. Elena walked to the living room to sit down with her legs crossed.

"You still haven't answered my question".She said unfriendly and Mrs. Lisa became nervous.

"I know I don't work today, Ma, but I am here to see Sir".She said and Mrs. Elena scoffed.

"Why?".

"Um".She sputtered.

"Has the cat got your tongue?".

"No, Ma".She said nervously and then opened her mouth to tell her the condition of her daughter. Mrs.Elena laughed after hearing her story.

"So, you came to ask my husband for help, isn't it?".

"Not really ma, I just--".She got interrupted.

"You just what?".She scoffed."Does my husband look like a donor giver to you? Does he look like a tree that plucks money? Why do you wretched thing keep bothering him with your problems?".She asked rudely and Mrs. Lisa fell on her knees as tears filled her eyes.

"Please Ma, you have to help me, she is my only daughter, she is too young to go blind at that age, please help me".She pleads.

"Am sorry, I can't help you, my husband can't either, there is a lot on his plates, besides he traveled out for a business trip and he won't be back till two months".

"Please, I promise to do anything, I promise to work for the rest of my life for you, just help my innocent daughter, she is all I have".

"Oh my gosh! How do I explain this".She sighed tiredly at her constant begging. "Ok, fine, if you can get a Donor for the surgery, we can help you with the money".She said and Mrs.Lisa brightened up her face.

"Really Ma?".

"Yes, just get a Donor, if you can get a Donor within a space of two months, I will help you with the money".

"Yes ma, I will".She crawled to her and held her leg. "Thank you so much ma, heaven will reward you, thank you so much".

"Fine, you can let go of my leg now".She said getting irritated by her touch and then Mrs. Lisa let go of her leg and stood up.

"Thank you so much ma".

"You can go now".

"Ok, ma, thank you very much". She bows to her countlessly and walks away.

"What a dumbass".She kissed her teeth.

The next day, before Mrs.Lisa resumed her cleaning job, she rushed to the hospital to ask the doctor to help her look for a donor within the space of two months and the doctor agreed to help. She arrived at work with her daughter and asked her to sit with the security guard and she also told the security guard to look after her daughter before she was done cleaning and he accepted. Meanwhile, after some minutes, Isadora was seated alone by the corner of the security's house, she suddenly felt something touch her leg, she used her hands to search for what touched her leg and she noticed it was a ball in a round shape.

"It's a ball, where does this come from?".She wonders holding the ball in her hand.

"Hey, can I have my ball back?". A voice interrupted her and she wondered who he was because the voice was cool and friendly.

"Um, is this your ball?".She asked smiling and not seeing the person in front of her.

"Yes, can I have it back?".

"Er, sure".She pointed the ball in another direction thinking he was standing in the direction, the boy stared confusedly at her.

"Hello, am standing right here, why are you pointing the ball in another direction?".He asked.

"Oh, am sorry, I thought you were standing there".She said smiling and turned the ball in his direction and he took it from her.

"Is there something wrong with your eyes?".

"Um, yes, I can't see with them, which means I am blind".

"Oh, am sorry about that, when did this happen? Was it during birth?".

"No, it happened two days ago".

"Oh my, am so sorry".

"It's ok, my mom is doing everything possible to get my sight back".

"Ok".They were quiet for a moment. "By the way, am Andrew, what's yours?".

"Isadora".She said.

"Nice to meet you, Isadora".

"Same here, Andrew".

"So, your mom works here?".He asked and Isadora nodded her head. "Who is she?".

"Her name is Mrs.Lisa, she works as a cleaner here".

"Oh, ma. Lisa, I know her very well, she used to help my brother and me with some homework".

"That's good to know".

"Andrew! What are you doing here?". Liam interrupted from behind and walked up to him. "I was waiting for you to get the ball".

"Am sorry, I was caught up with something, by the way, meet Isadora, she is ma. Lisa's daughter".Andrew said and then turned to Isadora. "Meet my brother, Liam".he made an introduction.

"Hi, nice to meet you, Liam". Isadora said smiling and Liam scoffed.

"Yeah, whatever!".He said unfriendly and walked away with the ball.

"Am sorry about my brother, he is crazy sometimes". Andrew said.

"Sure, no problem".

"Andrew!".Liam yelled out his name.

"Got to go, see you around".He ran off.

"Same here". Isadora said smiling.
