"You are Isadora right?".He asked smiling at her. "Yes, who are you?". "My name is Mike, am Mrs.Agatha's nephew, she left for the market and asked me to watch over you". "Oh, ok, nice to meet you, Uncle Mike". "Just call me Mike". "No, I can't do that, with the way you sound, you are older than me". "You are right about that, am just twenty-three years old". "Wow, you are like an older brother to me, so, I will call you uncle". "You are so smart".He said. "Thank you". "Have you had anything to eat?". "Yes, Aunty Agatha serve me some rice before she left". "Ok, that's good". "Are you staying here for the holiday?".She asked. "Yes, I will be going back next week once my school resumes". "You still school?". "Yes, why not?". "Oh, sorry I asked". "It's ok, it's my final year in school". "Wow, nice, so, you won't mind telling me what you are reading in school". "Nope, I am into political science". "That's wonderful, you want to become a politician?". "Yes, it has always been my dream to read politics". "That's cool". "What about you?". "Mhm, I wanted to become a doctor, but unfortunately, I won't be that anymore". "Why will you say that?". "As you can see, am blind and my dream of going to school is shattered". "But it's not over, there is still hope". "I shall hope so". "You will, I believe you".He said and they smiled. Isadora was getting used to Mike and he was always there to encourage her, sometimes Mike begged Mrs.Lisa to leave her behind, because he was entertained by her and Isadora was also pleased with it. Mrs.Lisa was tidying up the living room when Andrew walked up to her. "Good day, Ma".He greeted politely and Mrs.Lisa smiled at him. "How are you, Andrew?". "Am fine Ma, I just want to know if Isadora is ok, you haven't been coming with her". "Yes, she is fine, she is staying with my neighbor, but not to worry, I will bring her over tomorrow". "Ok, thank you". "You are welcome". She smiles after him as he walks away. . . . Andrew and Isadora were playing with toys on the veranda. "it seems you got a new friend in your neighbor's house that's why you no longer come with your mom to my place".Andrew said. "Of course not, I just thought it's a good thing to relieve, my mom from stress for backing me to your house".She said. "Oh, I see".He smiles and they continue playing. "Andrew, what are you doing here?".Liam interrupted them from behind. "As you can see, I am playing with Isadora".He said. "You can join us". Isadora offered and Liam scoffed. "Play with you, Never!".He rejected rudely. "Liam, be nice, Isadora don't bite".Andrew said. "I don't like her, sometimes I wonder why you prefer her to me". "Of course not". "Of course yes! You prefer a blind girl to your blood brother".He yelled and walked away. "I think you should go be with him". "Don't worry about him, he will be fine". "Are you sure?".She asked. Some moment later, Liam was taking a nap on his bed while playing video games with his tap, Andrew knocked and entered. "Can I come in?".He asked and Liam ignored him. "Liam".He moves to sit beside him on the bed. "Are you still angry with me?". "Leave me alone, go be with your newfound friend".He said unlikely. "Come on Liam, don't be harsh, Isadora is a nice girl, you can be friends with her too". "Hell no!".He snapped. "I despise her". "Why? What did she do to you?". "I just don't like her, she is not welcome here, your attention towards me deviates from me to her".He frowns. "You know Isadora is still my friend". "Then, go be with her!" he turned his face away. "Am sorry, don't be mad at me".He said and then brought out a pack of chocolate. "I brought you your favorite chocolate". He pointed it to him and Liam turned to him. "It's yours, is my way of saying sorry". "I will only accept this if you agree to be spending more time with me". "Sure, I will". "Pinky swear?". "You know pinky swear is for girls". "I know, just make me a promise". He brought out his little finger and they made a pinky swear. "I promise". "Ok".He smiled and took the chocolate from him. "So, are we cool?". "Yes".They smile at each other. . . . . Isadora was in Mike's house and he offered her a pack of chips and she was alone in the living room eating, then Ms.Agatha came out ready to go. "Isadora, are you enjoying the chips?".She asked. "Yes, Aunt". "Ok, I will step out to get something from the market, not to worry, Mike is around, he will keep you company". "Ok, Aunt". "Alright, see you later".She left. An hour later, Isadora was sleeping on the couch when Mike came over, he smiled at her and then moved to sit next to her. He continued staring at her and then looked down at her leg that was exposed because of the shot pants she was putting on, he became hypnotized by her skin. "What is wrong with you Mike, get hold of yourself".He said and continued salivating. He became tempted and he caressed her leg which made Isadora jerk up from her sleep. "Who's there?".She asked. "Relax Isadora, it's me".Mike said. "Oh, Uncle Mike". "Did I wake you up?". "Not really".She smiled. "Has anyone told you that you look beautiful?". "Yes, my Mom told me all the time". "She didn't lie, you are extremely beautiful".He smiled at her and pushed closer to her. "You know I like you right?". "You do?". "Yes, and I promise to take very good care of you". "Thank you, Uncle Mike".She smiled. "It's nothing".He placed his hand around her shoulders as he pulled her closer to himself."I promise to take care of you". "Uncle Mike, what are you doing?".She asked feeling uncomfortable about his touch. "I want to do something you will like". "Something like what?". "I will show you".He stood up and tried to carry her, but Isadora refused. "I want to show you something inside my room". "No Uncle Mike, I prefer to stay here".She said "Come on Isadora, don't be stubborn, I promise it won't take long and I will be done". "No, I want to stay here". "How do I convince her to go to the room with me?".He thought for a while and then brought out a pack of chips from his pocket. "Have this". "What's that?". "Your favorite chips". "No, thanks I have had one before".She declined and Mike started to get pissed off. "Why are you so stubborn".He grabs her quickly and Isadora struggles with him. "Let me go, Uncle Mike, you are hurting me!".She cried out and Mike carried her on his shoulder heading to his room, Isadora kept struggling. "Let me go!".

Everyone was waiting patiently at the hospital, Mrs.Agatha was consoling Mrs.Lisa who kept crying nonstop including Andrew and his brother. Not too long after, Mrs.Elena rushed in and she was directed to the lobby. She rushed in to see her kids, and immediately they saw her, they ran to hug her and she held them tight in her arms. "What happened to your father?".She asked curiously as they pulled away from each other. "Mom, Dad was hit by a truck". Liam said sobbing. "What? How?".She asked with tears foaming in her eyes and then the doctor came out and they rushed to him quickly. "Doctor, how is my husband? Is he ok?". "The accident was severe, but the little girl is ok, she managed to sustain a tiny injury on her head, but she is perfectly ok, so, there is nothing to worry about".The doctor said and Mrs.Lisa sighed in relief. "How about the young man, is he ok too?".Mrs.Lisa asked and the doctor sighed. "Please talk to us doctor".Mrs.Agatha said. "Is my Dad ok?"
