Chapter Two

Mrs.Elena was eating at the dining table with her sons while Mrs.Lisa was cleaning the living room.

"Ma.Lisa, Did Isadora come with you today?".Andrew asked and Mrs. Lisa stopped to look at him.

"No son".He replied.

"Why? Is she ok?".Andrew asked curiously.

"Andrew, you know it's bad manners when eating and talking".Mrs.Elena said and then stared hard at Mrs.Lisa."Do you want him to get choked?".

"No, Ma, am sorry".She said and continued her cleaning.

"Mom, why are you blaming her, I started the conversation first".Andrew said.

"Stop asking questions and eat your food, since when did you care about her daughter".

"Since yesterday, he only met her once and he is already asking about her".Liam said unlikely.

"That's because she is my friend".

"How can you make friends with someone you just met?".

"Is there something wrong with that?".

"That's enough you two, less chatting and more eating".Mrs.Elena said and they continued eating.

An hour later, Mrs. Lisa was getting ready to go when Andrew walked up to her.

"Hi, are you ready to go?".He asked firmly and Mrs. Lisa turned to her smiling.

"Yes, son".

"Er, am sorry about my mom early, please don't be angry".

"Of course not son, why will I be angry, she was right you know, you shouldn't be talking while eating".

"I know, and I am sorry once again".

"Sure, not a problem".

"So, is Isadora ok? Why didn't she come with you?".

"Yes, she is fine, I left her with my neighbor at home".

"Ok, will you bring her over tomorrow?".

"No dear, am off tomorrow, but I promise to bring her the next day when coming".

"Ok, that will be great, my regards to her".

"I will".

They waved at each other and she left. She arrived home later in the day and thanked her neighbor for looking after her daughter. They went inside and she told her daughter about Andrew's greeting for her and Isadora was happy to hear that.

The next day, Isadora's teacher and the principal came to see the reason why she hadn't been present in school for two days, Her mother told them about the sudden condition of her daughter, they were surprised and consoled her not to worry and they promise to see what they can do to help them. Mrs. Lisa thanked them for their comfort and they promised to come back next time.

Isadora was with the security guard in the mansion waiting for her mother as usual, Just then Liam caught sight of her, he was holding a ball and he walked up to her.

"Who's there?". Isadora asked knowing fully well someone was standing in front of her. She used her hands to try to search for the person, but Liam pushed back."Andrew, is that you?".

"So, is true that you are blind".Liam said and Isadora sighed hearing the voice.

"Oh, Liam, it's you, but why didn't you say anything?".

"I wanted to know if truly we are blind".

"As you can see, I am".She smiles.

"Yeah, whatever".He scoffed.

"Where is Andrew?".

"Why are you asking about him?".

"Nothing really, am just wondering why he is not here with you".

"Well, he is not, stop asking about him, Andrew can never be friends with you".He said coldly.

"Why not? Is there something wrong with me?".

"Obviously! You are blind, and my brother can be friends with a blind girl".

"But it's not my fault that I am blind, besides, it's your brother's choice to be friends with me and not yours to decide".She said and Liam scoffed.

"Yeah, right, he is my brother and whatever I tell him to do, he will".He fired back at her.

"Isadora?".Andrew called from behind and rushed to her, Isadora smiled to hear his office.

"Andrew, it's you, you are here".She said touching his face.

"Yeah, I saw your mom and she told me you are here, I can see you and my brother are getting along".He said and Liam scoffed.

"Hell no! Get along with her, never!".Liam snapped and walked away.

"It seems your brother doesn't like me". Isadora said.

"Don't let him bother you, Liam never likes anybody, but not to worry, he will come around".

"Ok, am glad that you are here".She smiles.

"Me too, you wanna come to the garden to play with me?".

"Um, you want me to?".

"Yes, I think it's boring to stay here alone".

"Yes, but my mom asked me to stay here".

"I know, but you are with me and I will keep you safe".

"Ok, I will come with you".She said excitedly.

"Ok, hold on let me inform the guard about it".Andrew left to inform the guard and then came back to take Isadora by holding her hand.

They came to the garden and Liam was surprised to see Andrew with Isadora.

"Why did you bring her here Andrew?". Liam asked

"I want her to play with us, it's boring for her to sit alone".He said.

"Are you crazy, can't you see she is blind and can't play with us".

"We can teach her".

"No, I won't allow that".

"Come on Liam, she--".

"It's ok, Andrew, let me sit and watch you play". Isadora said and Liam laughed in mockery.

"Really? You are so funny, how can you watch us play, you can't see".Liam mocked and Isadora became sad.

"Don't talk like that Liam, it's not her fault that she is blind".

"Is my fault then, if you want us to continue with the football, send her away, I don't want her here".

"Liam!".

"You heard me, I don't want her here".

"It's ok, I will go, I don't want to cause a beef between you two, take me back to the security post".

"Are you sure you will be fine?".

"Yes, just take me there".

Andrew led her back to the security guard.

"Am sorry about my brother".

"It's ok".She smiles.

"You can go to him, he must be waiting for you".

"I will see you tomorrow".He waved at her and walked away.

Later in the evening, Mrs.Elena was having dinner with her sons.

"How was your football play today?".She asked.

"Not fine Mom, Andrew ruined everything".Liam said.

"How?".She asked.

"He brought that blind girl to come play with us".

"She has a name, it's Isadora".Andrew blunted.

"Why did you bring her to play with you guys?".

"But, it's nothing wrong for her to play with us".Andrew said.

"It is! Don't go close to her again".Mrs.Elena warned.

"But why Mom?".

"Because she is not the type of person to mingle with it, you have many friends, why do you still need a blind girl".She said and Andrew sighed.

"I don't see anything wrong in having enough friends".

"Andrew, you will have to listen to me, stop following her before she becomes trouble for you".She warned and Andrew sighed eating her food sluggishly.
