CHAPTER 2: Dangerously beautiful

I went directly to our classroom. When I entered, the room fell completely silent.

They all stared at me in shock while I make my way to my seat. They gasped when I sat on my chair.

One guy came to me and said, " Hey there! That's the ugly mutt's chair, you'll dirty yourself if you sit there."

I looked at him amusement written on my face. He seems to have caught my expression and smirked, thinking he had me impressed.

"Why don't you find another seat? There's an empty chair beside mine." He said while eyeing me lustfully.

I only looked at him and laugh, that caught him off guard then he looked at me baffled.

"Why are you laughing baby? Did I say something wrong?" He said trying to sound me out.

I leaned on my desk and rested my cheeks on my palms, I stared at him as he makes a fool of himself.

"How dare he call us baby, when he just called us an ugly mutt." Anessa snorted.

I stared at the guy like he's some kind of idiot trying to look smart. "What's your name?" I asked.

"Oh right! I forgot to introduce myself, where're my manners. Haha, anyway my name is Dante Peterson." He said as he extends his hands for a handshake.

"What's your name?" He asked, not letting go of my hand.

"You want to know?" I answered him with a serious look.

"Of course I do! It would be an honor to know the name of a very beautiful woman such as yourself." Dante said as he leaned to kiss my hand.

"Well too bad for you Dante. This very beautiful woman you're talking about is the owner of this spot!" I said pointing to my chair.

He stopped for a minute then laughed nervously, " Hahaha. Well, that's a funny joke miss beautiful."

I looked at him with an expressionless face in which he flinched.

" Vanessa Hudgens, the owner of this very chair I'm sitting on, and the ugly mutt of this campus! Is none other than me?" I said sarcastically.

Everyone stared at me with wide eyes. They can't believe what they've heard, Dante's about to say something when our teacher Mr. Smith entered the room.

Mr. Smith is my father's friend, he'd occasionally visit us whenever he's free, thus he knows about me.

Mr. Smith started to call out names for attendance while everyone's waiting in anticipation for my name to be called.

"Vanessa Hudgens?" Mr. Smith called.

"Present!" I answered.

"Oh! So you finally decided to come out of your comfort zone. I'm glad.." Mr. Smith said as he smiled at me genuinely.

"Yeah. Thanks!" I said returning a smile.

Everyone looked at Mr. Smith then turned their heads to me dumbstruck.

And with that, the class goes on.

After class no one dared talk to me, they felt embarrassed and guilty of how they'd treat me all this time.

I went straight to my locker, my mind lost in thoughts. I snapped back to reality when I bumped into something hard that feels like a wall.

I look up to see green eyes staring at me.

"Cedric!" I said in my head.

He didn't say anything but stare at me for a few seconds,

" It suits you." That was all he said, then walked away.

I don't know why he said that. We're not close and we don't have any kind of relationship of some sort. We're like a stranger to each other.

He's that aloof kind of a guy that always wears a serious look on his face. He's that type of a person who doesn't seem to care about anything, it's like he's living in his world.

I don't know but I got this feeling that he's been watching me for a long time, but never really talked to me. He's odd, I decided to shrug it off like I always do and went to my locker.

I can hear everyone in the hallway talking about me as I went to my next subject, and just like that time flew fast and it's finally time to go home.

I got no friends to hang out with after school so I always went home directly.

I was walking near my house when I suddenly felt goosebumps all over my body, I  know there is something dangerous lurking somewhere in the woods watching me.

I took big steps until I finally reached the gate of our house. I then felt at ease when I finally feel like there's no longer someone watching me.

" I can tell the person that's watching us is very dangerous!" My wolf said.

"I know!" I said furrowing my brows.

I have never felt so uneasy in my entire life. And I have never felt a powerful aura that's comparable to mine or even stronger until now!

I went straight to my room, my mind busy thinking who might be the powerful person that's watching me.

I can't think of anyone else stronger than Alexander. Yet Alexander's far weaker than me.

I was so busy thinking who might that person be until darkness slowly engulfed me and I finally fell asleep.

I was awoken by a sudden gust of wind from my window.

"Wait! Wind?" I said in my head.

I'm pretty sure I locked my Windows before going to bed.

I tried to open my eyes but I can seem to open them.

Someone's there I can feel it. The person walk towards me slowly, he sat beside me caressing my face. He suddenly leaned in for a kiss, I tried to move my body but my body feels so heavy I can't lift a finger.

I gave it my all and finally opened my eyes.

"It's just a dream!" I woke up panting.
