Chapter 14

As soon as the bell that indicated the end of class rang, all of the students hurriedly made their way to the cafeteria to have their lunch.

Math was the last class of the day, and it had already gone on for five minutes past its scheduled end time. In a normal situation, even a half minute would make a tremendous impact, so despite the fact that five minutes seems like a very tiny amount of time, it was actually quite a lethal blow to them. They arrived at the cafeteria far after their optimal window of opportunity had passed, and as a result, they were compelled to participate in the mayhem that occurs during the peak hour.

There were throngs of people in the cafeteria at the same time. Jeff Gray and John Taylor got their lunch, but when they tried to find a place to sit down while they were carrying their plates, there were none available.

Chris Gordon, who was sitting to one side and waving warmly at them while they looked about, said, "Brother Tom, John Taylor, over here."
