CHAPTER 4

Luciana had decided not to go to work that day, she really wanted to be there for Irina and help her with everything regarding the wedding, she had been her best friend almost sister since she was a child, she deserved it.

The night before she had had dinner with her father and her grandfather, who she informed that the next day she was not going to go to work because she would be with Iriana in the preparations for her wedding. It was a serious mistake, since the men who were happy to let her not go to work also began to harass her that she also had to look for a man in her life. Which made her get a little upset and go to her room. Her father had arrived a short time later and apologized, then he had said goodnight and left the room.

Luciana knew that it was true that she still had a great love for Diego, he had been her first great love, but what no one knew was the fear that she had of falling in love again and losing that person she loved again, she simply couldn't. bear it.

She looked at her reflection and once again in the mirror, she was wearing jean shorts and a light blue strappy blouse, which made her eyes stand out, white high-top sneakers and a small bag the same color as her blouse. She made a high, somewhat messy ponytail and left two strands loose in front of her. Before leaving the room, she detailed the photo with Diego, he approached her and caressed her, she missed him a lot, his beautiful green eyes, his smile, Diego had been so cute and special to her that the day she fell in love again she didn't want to. less than what that beautiful man had given her. At that moment her cell phone rang, so she left the photo where she was and in her bag she looked for her phone, she saw the name of her friend.

"I haven't forgotten," she said as soon as she answered, "I'm just going to have breakfast and I'll go out there." Luciana had to remove the cell phone from her ear when she heard her friend's scream.

-That is wonderful. I'm really glad you didn't stand me up.

—I wasn't planning to do it, I promise you that I will be the best godmother in the world — Irina laughed on the other end of the line.

—Well, I'll wait for you at my house. — Luciana frowned when she heard her friend say.

-Because? I thought we would go together.

—Lu, Saúl will also go.

-And what is the problem? — Luciana still didn't understand, because as far as she understood, she got along very well with Saúl. Irina snorted, she knew that Luciana had become a sullen person, she didn't really like interacting with people, she hated having to deal with someone unless it was work, maybe if she were the Luciana from years ago everything would be simpler.

—There will be two cars, in one I will go with Saúl and in the other you with the godfather. He also wants to be present in the preparations, he is a very familiar man.

"Iriana," Luciana said in a warning tone.

—I swear it's not a blind date or anything like that, knowing him I'm sure they could get along well, at least just as groomsmen at the wedding. But if you absolutely don't want to deal with anyone but me and Saúl, then you can go with us or take your car. — Luciana sighed, and looked at Diego's photo, she had to go back to being the woman she was many years ago, even if she was a little bit.

—No, don't worry, I'll go with the best man, I need to get to know him, remember that we will be in charge of making this marriage spectacular. — Irina smiled when she heard her friend say it, it was a great advance.

—Well, then go to breakfast and we'll wait for you here. I love you.

"Okay and so am I," she said before hanging up. When she went down to breakfast, neither her father nor her grandfather were there, apparently they had left early, Luciana made a gesture with her mouth, she only hoped that this pair would really take care of her.

After breakfast, she went up to brush her teeth and then ordered a taxi. She sighed in frustration. She loved driving, but she would leave it for today, although if she thought about it, it was a great idea, since that way she could try the wines. With that motivation, she decided to go. to the taxi after a few minutes and then headed to her best friend's apartment. Along the way she was thinking about whether she should also look for an apartment, she loved living with her father and her grandfather but sometimes they were very nosy, she should think carefully before doing it.

A few minutes before arriving she sent a message to Irina, letting her know that she would arrive in a few minutes. When she arrived, both her friend and Saúl were outside waiting for her. She paid the driver for the service and she got out of the car with a smile.

"Hello," Irina said as she reached her friend and hugged her. — I've missed you — Luciana smiled when she heard it.

"Me too, darling," she let go of her best friend to hug and greet Saúl.

—I'm very happy to see you Lu. The godfather is about to arrive, I'm bringing the car —

"Me too, Saúl, see, I'll stay with the girlfriend," she said, amused, that man had shown how in love she was with her friend. Saul smiled as he went to get the car.

-I'm so happy.

—I know you, my friend, and I'm really happy for you. Which vineyard will we go to?

—From the Vineyards wine, it's an hour from here, maybe an hour ten, more or less, the photos of the place look incredible.

—Well, as long as you really like the place, we will do whatever it takes to make your wedding spectacular, honey, you'll see. — At that moment Saúl left the subway with the truck and another arrived from behind.

"The godfather arrived," Irina said with a big smile. Luciana couldn't see him from there because Saúl's truck covered the godfather's truck.

"You seem to like him very much," she said, looking at her friend.

—Yes, wonderfully, Santiago is a great man.

-Santiago? - Luciana asked in a whisper, when Irina was going to answer the two men arrived.

—I think we can go now, Santi has arrived. — Said Saúl who at that moment looked from him to Luciana — Lu, meet my best friend Santiago O'Brien. — And then he turned to his friend — and I present to you Luciana Brown, Irina's best friend. — They both looked at each other surprised, Santiago couldn't help but look at her from top to bottom with her gaze.

—Hello Miss Brown, nice to see you again — Irina frowned when she heard Santiago say.

-They know each other? "She," she asked, unable to remain silent. Santiago smiled at her and greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.

—Yes, shorty, we met yesterday.

-So? —Irina asked, as she raised an eyebrow and looked at her friend.

—Yes, Mr. O'Brien is a new partner in the company. — Luciana looked at her friend, frowning, seeing the way she looked at her.

—Well, the good thing is that you already know each other and it won't be very strange for you. "We must go if we want to arrive on time," said Saúl, taking Irina's hand to take her to the car. Santiago, for his part, extended an arm forward, allowing Luciana to pass in front of him towards the car. As a man that he was and that the woman in front of him also made him feel her heart beating very quickly, she couldn't help but look at his buttocks, with a sigh she looked at the sky.

"Have mercy on my God," she said in a whisper to him, "this woman will make me die of a heart attack." He shook his head while he smiled to himself. He opened the door for Luciana like a gentleman, then he got in and they followed his friends. It would be the longest hour of their lives.
