Keira's POV

The Dean’s grip tightened around my neck until I felt lightheaded, tiny black dots swimming at the edge of my vision. My toes barely touched the ground as he held me there, his rough fingers digging into my skin like claws.

“You think you’re brave now, don’t you, Omega?” he spat, his breath hot and sour against my face. “Thinking you can talk back just because the princes decided to parade their ugly truths before us. Do you think you’re important now?”

I couldn’t answer him, not with his hand cutting off my air, so I just stared back, my eyes burning from unshed tears. I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of seeing me beg. My lungs screamed for air, my body trembling, but I refused to fight him. If he wanted to kill me, then he should just do it.

“Dean, please,” I heard Alia’s voice from beh

Kai's POVI kept my face blank as I stood before the crowd, announcing her rank.“Keira. Last place in today's trials.”The words left my mouth cold and sharp. I watched her flinch, just slightly, like a wounded deer trying not to show its pain. Something twisted painfully in my chest, deep and hot. My wolf growled low inside me, pacing restlessly. We hurt her. She sang. She was brave. She is ours.I clenched my jaw, shutting him out. She is nothing, I told myself. She cannot be ours. She can never be ours.I forced myself to look away from her teary eyes. I focused on the scores in my hand, scribbled in neat black ink. Her name sat at the bottom, circled twice.Good, I thought. She needs to remember her place. She needs to stay away from me.But my hands were trembling. I curled them into fists, willing them to still as the hall buzzed with whispers around me.“She deserves last place.”“Did you hear her song? Creepy.”“Ugly Omega should have just danced and saved us the trouble.”Ea

Keira's POV I stood frozen on the stage as the judge’s cold voice boomed through the silent hall.“Keira, Omega class. Disqualified for talent breach. You will receive no points.”No points. The words echoed in my head like a death sentence. My knees trembled so badly I almost collapsed right there, but I forced myself to stand still, chin tucked down, eyes fixed on the polished stone floor. The humiliation burned hotter than any fever I’d ever had.I should have just danced, I thought, blinking away tears. Even if I looked foolish. Even if my dress was in rags…“Move aside, Omega,” the judge barked.I stepped down from the stage, my feet numb against the cold floor. As I walked past the waiting contestants, I felt their eyes on me – some filled with pity, others with mocking glee. The Omega failure. The maid who thought she could be Luna.I heard a soft tinkling laugh and my heart sank. Alia stood near the curtains, her golden gown glittering like sunlight on water. Her hair was pin

Keira's POV I woke up before dawn, my heart thudding so hard I thought it would rip out of my chest. For a moment, I just lay there on my straw mattress, staring up at the cracked ceiling. My fingers curled into the rough blanket as I whispered to myself, Today… I’ll show them I’m worth something. “Kiki… you’re awake before the chickens again,” Nylo’s tiny voice came from beside my pillow. I turned my head to see his small wolf-fairy body curled up like a sleepy kitten. His silver fur shimmered under the moonstone lamp as he yawned dramatically. “Don’t tell me you’re nervous about these two-legged fools and their silly games.”I couldn’t help a tired smile. “Of course I’m nervous,” I whispered back. “This is the first time they’re letting an Omega perform on stage. If I mess up, they’ll use it against me forever.”I mean, the last time I danced, it was because the Alpha ordered. And it was just him. But this was different. Nylo hopped onto my shoulder, his small claws pricking my s

“Move it, Omega!”I stumbled forward as the guard shoved me roughly into line with the other girls. The early morning air bit at my bare arms and legs. We were in the temple courtyard, a wide stone clearing with cold mist curling over the ground. My teeth chattered as I hugged myself.“Today’s trial is endurance,” the priestess announced, her voice echoing across the silent yard. “You will stand under the sacred waters and chant prayers to the Moon Goddess. If you falter, you fail.”My heart sank as I followed the line of trembling girls toward the towering fountain. Ice-cold water crashed down from its carved wolf mouth, forming a pool that steamed in the dawn air. I swallowed hard. There was no heat in that water. Only pain. One by one, the girls stepped under the stream. Some screamed from the shock, others clenched their teeth in silence. My turn came too quickly.“Go,” the priestess snapped.I stepped forward. The moment the water hit my skin, I thought I would die. It felt like

“Look who finally crawled back from the dead.”I flinched at the mocking voice as the guards dropped me off at the Trial grounds. The other girls stood in clusters, gossiping loudly. My knees ached as I forced myself to stand straight.“She probably hid in a hole all night,” another girl sneered. “Like the rat she is.”My chest burned. I clenched my fists, nails biting into my palms. I didn’t want to cause trouble. I didn’t want to give them a reason to hurt me more. But then one girl stepped forward, her painted lips curling with disgust. “Tell me, omega. Did you spread your legs for a wild wolf to keep warm last night?”My vision went red. “Shut up,” I snapped, my voice trembling with rage. “At least I didn’t spend the entire night crying over a broken nail.”

Keira’s POV“Move it!” The guard shoved me forward into the dark forest. I stumbled, nearly tripping over a root as tears burned behind my eyes.“Please… please don’t leave me here…” I whispered shakily. He sneered. “Survive or die. Either way, it’s none of my business, omega.”Then he turned and walked away, his armour clinking until his figure disappeared among the trees. Silence wrapped around me like cold water. My knees felt weak. This was the second phase of the trial, surviving in the forest for a night.“Great. Just great,” I muttered, hugging myself tightly. “Alone, again.”I forced myself to keep walking. The forest was dark, shadows swallowing every flicker of moonlight. My stomach growled loudly, echoing in the silent night
