Chapter Sixteen

I wanted to pretend that I did not see them and head back inside, but then the guards curtsied and said, "Luna."

So there was no way I could pretend, so I gave them a look, and Hayden pushed her hand off.

"You play too much, Cecilia; that was not funny," Hayden said.

I turned to head back inside, but then Cecelia called my name.

"Alex, it is nice to see you after so long," she said, extending her hand.

She thought that I was going to shake her hand, all because she was with Hayden now.

"We have already met this afternoon, so there is no reason for the handshake," I told her, then gave them a final look and went inside.

Immediately I went inside the room. I grabbed Elijah's ball and threw it to the ground. I wanted to smash something, but I did not want to spoil any expensive things. I gripped the edge of the bed as if I wanted to break it, then screamed into my clothes.
