Chapter 4

Amelia Pov

I thought I was going insane seeing no one talking to me and I didn't hear anyone's voice again.

"I can't wait for the party, I heard Alpha Lorde hasn't found his mate yet, do you think he will attend?" I heard some girls discussing an Alpha I have no idea about but his name is always in the mouth of everybody.

"He is so handsome but knowing how evil

 and cold he is, I am so scared of him, yes he is everything a lady needs in a man but I will rather be mated with someone that cares and show love too." One of the girls added.

"You are damn right, I don't care if he is cold, even if he gets me so angry with his attitude, at least his cute face is enough to drive away the anger from me." 

"You are so silly." They started laughing.

I started hearing from a distance, "We need to make sure no mistake at the mask party, it should be the best and you need to persuade Alpha Lorde Beta to make sure Lorde attends."  I recognised his voice as our Alpha, Alpha Lorenzo is the alpha of the Blue moon pack while my father is the beta of the pack.

"It's not bad having out almighty alpha that other alpha fears, I will do my best."

"Okay, I shall take my leave now."

Mother requested for my presence, "Mom you called."

"Oh yes I did, a masked party is coming up very soon, after the full moon, you are going to attend." 

I was so excited that for the very first time I will be attending a party and not cleaning the house all night.

"Mom, why will you let her attend the party?" Katarina got angry as her eyes turned blue.

"It's okay my child, everyone comes to the mask party for a different purpose, I will send you money to shop for the best outfit, I want you to be outstanding that night and you need to eat something to push out your shapes." I could not hold back so I started laughing.

"How dare you laugh?" Mom yelled slapping me and I got my senses back.

"I am sorry mom."

"Sorry for yourself, useless she-wolf, I wonder if you will ever meet your wolf, now you will be serving drinks that night and make sure you don't communicate with anyone?"

I felt happy, even if I am going there to clean at least I will attend the party and dance in a hidden place cause I love dancing so much.

"Thank you so much mom, I won't disappoint you." I smiled.

"And who said you can smile?" I stopped smiling.

"I am sorry mom."

"Just leave my sight." She said.

I decided to take a walk in the woods when suddenly the full moon appeared, then I started feeling changes on my body, my claws and fangs coming out, the excess hair on my skin and I thought I knew the meaning of pains but I just discovered I found out the real meaning tonight.

When the bones in my body started breaking, it was like death to my body, I yelled so loud as it continues, I could hear the bones still breaking and finally I turned into a wolf.

"Hey Amelia, call me Red, I am your wolf, have been trying to connect with you for a long time "

"Red, I am happy to meet you, I can't wait to tell Helen I shifted tonight."

"Hey girl, I need to stretch my legs by taking a run," Red said in excitement, I know I won't be bored again.

The next morning, I woke up naked in the woods then I heard Helen voice, "I got your clothes, let's go to start preparing for the masked party tomorrow night."

I smiled.

Lorde Pov

I ended the mind link by asking her to go, "You need to leave now."

"But we have not started anything yet." She said trying to hold me.

"I said leave!" I used my alpha voice and she was shivering as she left at once.

I dashed out from my room going to the woods and standing at the top part meant for just me, I had to calm down to sense where Simon was, finally getting his smell, 

I rushed there and in seconds I broke the hunters gun filled with wolfbane and their leader fired the gun with wolfbane at me.

"I got him." He said walking to me when he tried to touch me, I gripped his hands twisting them as my red eyes glowed, "Do you think a yellow wolf bane will affect me, just a hit he fell unconscious.

I hate hunters, too bad I don't kill humans but break their bones, I don't need to shift fully for cheap cases like this.

I could hear Simon heart beating, then I saw a wolf standing like a human with his head a bit different, the smell of chemicals, I knew this is not a wolf, I ripped out his heart at once and he dropped dead.

I saw Simon who covered his face thinking he was about to face his death because he was weakened by the wolfbane.

He opened his eyes," Thank you, Lorde.  "

"Because of you, I didn't get enough fun," I yelled at him.

"I know you mean to say you are welcome." We walked out together as other wolves cleared the scene and I asked him to look into the case.

The next morning, having breakfast with my mom, "So son, what are we going to do about your mate?"

"Oh damn, I am late for work mom, see you in the evening." I kissed her cheek leaving, I don't want her nagging this morning.

"You can run from your mom and not me."My wolf form said.

"I know for sure, we will meet our mate."

At the office, Simon came to me with an envelope.

"Alpha Lorde you are invited to the mask party of the Blue Moon pack tomorrow evening." Simon smiled.

"I am not going," I replied.

"What? You are going Lorde, what if we meet our mate there?" Raja added.

"You are joking right?" Simon asked.

"I am serious, I am not going, please take these files to the HRM," I added.
