Chapter XV

 

He crossed to the other side of Cairo road for a better view. It had been two weeks since he was tasked to trail the woman. At all material times, she was not aware of the man behind her. Prince had mastered the skill of being invisible and remained in the shadows ever since he left the Regiment five years ago. His dismissal was unceremonial and gave him ugly scars which were not going to heal anytime sooner. He had tried several avenues to acclimatize but failed. It seemed his life never belonged to the normal outside world. The fifteen years he spent in Twinpalm as a regiment officer, Prince got used living in the bush and never had an opportunity to freely mingle with the free world.

He could barely meet the basic needs of life until one day when he met a very well known figure in the Zambian government. The meeting place was strange and could not befit the high profile ex-intelligence chief. However, the professions justified the meeting ground – one was a regiment officer
