Chapter 3.
Alpha Jax's Point Of View.
The next day
"Surprise, Surprise!" I said as I walked into Ivy's parent home. We had unfinished business and what's better, it would make me get closer to their daughter.
I banged the door fiercely and got no response, I could smell the people inside, I heard both of their old and slow heartbeats. I felt their fear in the air around me. Even with their fear their hearts still weren't beating as fast.
“I can feel you, your fears.. I can hear your heartbeats' I said with a loud voice, I laughed hysterically before kicking the door open. The loud bang that came with the force he kicked the door with shook the house to its hinges, he chuckled loudly and examined the main living room. It was painted in cream and chocolate with matching chocolate sofa chairs to complement the room’s color.
The floor had wooden work and it creaked with every step he took. A large but old Television was set on a glass piece on the left wall of the building. The heartbeats were now louder and and thumbing faster but still weakly, I made my way for their dining on the same floor he was on.
I smiled at the sight of Ivy’s pictures hung up on the wall decorating the dining room with her smiles. A few medals and awards were displayed just outside of the dinning too but I paid no attention to that.
My sharp claws were out and I inscribed “ivy” in bold letters on the wooden dining table.
The entire dining room is a square table with just four seats, one on each side which is understandable for a family as small as theirs, they don’t even seem to take visitors much.
I walked into the kitchen and closed my eyes to savor the sweet scent of the fresh potatoes that were still warm and fresh in the cooking pots. I scratched the ceramic walls and cabinets of the kitchen, leaving a mark everywhere that he entered like a psychopath. I was so out of his head.
“It’s time to stop playing hide and seek, I can easily find you if I wanted you, I just enjoyed hearing your already weak hearts strive for life when there’s no hope for it” My words rained hell on Rose and David, they shivered in the closer they were hidden. I finally found the stairs just at the corner of the living room I just left. I climbed slowly without muttering any statement. The wooden floorboard creaked with every step, my claws scratched the stair railings and his feet made tapping sounds. It sent ripples of fear through the heart of the poor parents of ivy.
I barged into the master bedroom with an evil smirk curved up his face, their bed was rough so they surely stood from it to hide when they saw him enter. I sniffed around before finally taking a seat on the bed’s edge, i dragged one of the chairs before him and placed my legs on it.
“Jax, it is an honor to see you again.' He lied, David lied as soon as he saw me. His hands shook and he fell to his feet. The shabby house hasn't changed a bit. The air smelt like turmeric and sulfur. His hands were old and shaky. He smelt old too. He might be some sheriff but he was way below the normal human rate.
You liar, you decided to forget all about me, didn't you? And our deal?" I asked him and he fell on his knees. He had no answer at all, he had nothing to say. His eyes were filled with tears. Their home was so easy to get into. They upgraded no doubt but still
"Where is your wife?" I asked him as I smiled. I chuckled hard too.
"She is in the kitchen, she will be here I promise!" He lied again, I knew she had hid herself. She saw me when I came in.
"ROSE!" I yelled her name the first time. David looked around like he knew where she was. He ran his eyes through their house.
"Roseline!" I yelled again for the second time. "I will kill your husband, if you dare me!" I said again and this time I went to sit down on their couch.
"Spare him, spare him please!" She said screaming as she came out from where she was. I laughed hard when she came running, it was so easy to do.
I looked over to David and Rose. They were together, the fear of the unknown made their heart fonder. I saw her eyes and the fear that was hidden. His face was dreaded but he masked it and held her hands.
"I knew you were foolish, very foolish David but this level of foolishness that you just exhibited has exceeded my expectations." I said as he chucked and looked around. I laughed hard and threw my head backwards. The words that came out from my mouth were cold and rude. I looked around for the second as though I had lost something of his possession.
I turned around and glanced at everyone. The breakfast is already set.
"Your place is quite beautiful, and your family too. And yes breakfast? I really love coordination and the fact that you prepared for my unannounced visit? I am very, I mean very impressed." I said like I didn't just barge in here. I rolled my eyes at them with disgust and hatred. I pointed at his hands as I spoke before I changed positions and placed them behind my back and I walked on to sit down at the other end of the table. I was careful with his steps and I took them one by one.
"You know I love and adore a complete family, you all are well behaved and you all have manners, do you know how much I adore that? It's at its peak!"
I decided to make them tense. It had been years and yet, they forgot all about our deal, so easily.
"And-You have a very beautiful and sexy daughter, damn!"
David felt his heart ripped out that very second. He couldn't believe that I knew their daughter.
"You know Ivy?" Rose said with tears and a shaky tone.
"Of course." I growled and leaned into her.
“Now let’s begin the main event '' I said those words and in the blink of an eye, I slashed my claws through David’s neck, splashing his blood all over the room.
After what just happened Rose screamed at the top of her voice, it suddenly dimmed, her eyes closed and she fell to the ground laying beside her husband who was bleeding and choking on his own blood to death. “I- I- I love you” these were David’s last words to his wife as his eyes became eternally shut close.
Rose was conscious to hear what he said but she passed out immediately and he gave up the ghost. The couple laid in the pool of blood, I stood proud, licking his finger tips. Enjoying the taste of his victim.
I stayed back a few minutes waiting for Rose to regain her consciousness, in the process I got bored and decided to keep myself entertained.
I first took off all of David’s blood soaked cloth and wore it on rose and I also took off her clothes and wore on him, it took a lot of impatience to do this, the cloths were mostly ripped apart when he was done exchanging the cloths, i still made sure Rose remained unharmed, I wanted to see her weep bitterly over the death of her one true love.
"Ahh fuck I’ve got blood stains all over me” i said as I looked at my body dripping the blood of David, i checks through the couple’s closet and found some of David’s cloth that would fit n3 perfectly, I took off mine and put on the cloths i picked and I tried it out in the totally ceramic bathroom of the couple, in all of the house this seemed like the neatest considering how sparkling and white the tiles and glasses were. Even the bathtub and water closets were glittering literally, I had all the time in the world. I got naked and entered the bathtub, I used up all the bubble baths I could find. I filled it with some petals as well. I carefully stepped into it and relaxed, the tequila shots were starting to kick in, his eyes became drowsy and he dozed off in his little pool of roses and sunshine.
Rose woke up in her husband’s bloodied and sticky clothes, she stared at his dead body, lost for words and emotions as she looked down on him. She heard the water running in the bathroom and she took a peak, to find Jax deep asleep in the bathtub, this was her chance she could run and escape but instead she headed for the kitchen and brought back an old baseball bat her husband used to play with. She sneaked back up the stairs and into the bathroom.
With all of her strength and power she lands successfully in the middle of my heart cracking and breaking the bat immediately.
My body slipped and I got fully submerged under the water. She had a victorious smile as she thinks she’s got me, I sprung up from under the water naked and scratched her hard in the back , severing her spinal cord immediately. How dare she? I spared her and she acted so stupid.
She laid down on her tummy, in pain and paralyzed. I came out of the tub rubbing my head and winced in pain. "Now I’ll make sure you suffer” I said to her , without drying myself out he got dressed and pulled Rose with her legs. I ran dragging her up and down the stairs a few times, bruising her and making her hit her head so many times. It killed her in no time. I was relieved. I didn't have to stress myself.
I had done what he came for and it looked easy, before deciding what’s next I made sure to spread the blood all over the house. I made hand prints and leg prints everywhere even though I had gloves on to make the hand prints.
After i was self vindicated i packed up my stained clothes and cleaned his prints from the victim and the whole scene, even the bathtub was cleaned again. I headed back out and stumbled on a young average heighted man almost his age holding a piece of paper. The man got closer and the paper turned out to be a letter. I looked at it but I didn't care.
“Are they in?” The man asked but I denied saying they were not. He offered to deliver the letter which the man quickly agreed and left. Then an idea came to me.
IVY
"Ivy, you have a letter." I was at the training ground, I waited for my next task, after I had spilled the wine on the alpha, I was punished. I was asked to tend to the horses and feed them. Not only was that a problem and I also had to do jumping jacks later on. The frustration I had was enough to blow me up. "From who?" I asked as I stood up, my bones creaked and made a sound. I closed my eyes and sighed. I had been working since six am. I couldn't breathe properly, I smelt of coal and dust, the dung from the horses made me sick.
"Take." John handed the letter and I opened it. It had a rose in it. I sniffed it and rolled my eyes.
I dusted myself and I left the stable. I dropped the letter and washed myself. I didn't know the content of the letter but it was an excuse to get out of here. I went to the locker room and I had a change of clothes. I finally opened the letter. The packing was huge for a mere sentence.
"The next time you try to run away from me, I will punish you, so hard you wouldn’t dare to do this anymore. Now how about you hop on home and you check the little present."
I didn't understand what the letter meant, I knew it had to be from Jax, the alpha but how did he know my house? How did he do it?
My parents? I shrieked and I ran, I ran as fast as I could. What did he tell my parents? What has he done? Who is he? I got home in a hurry. I opened the door and dashed in. "Mum, Dad?!" "Argggg" I screamed. I saw terror..my breath was unpaced. My eyes blinked fast, I couldn't believe what I saw. It was as though the air failed me. And it did fail me.
I saw their heads, hung up on the wall and their blood everywhere. I gasped and I covered my mouth
Ivy's POV As I stood in front of the mirror, my fingers grazing the delicate lace of my wedding dress, a rush of emotions swept through me. Today was not just any ordinary day; it marked a significant milestone in my life, a moment of redemption and triumph amidst the chaos that had once consumed me. Seeing my children walk down the aisle and read all their poems to me, melted my soul and it laid emphasis on how lucky I was once again to have the life that I have despite everything I had been through. The memories of the past years flooded my mind, transporting me back to the fateful day I first met Jax. I remembered his little nickname that sent shivers up the spines if people when it was mentioned, The Devil Alpha. His presence had initially brought nothing but destruction and sorrow into my life, snatching away my parents and leaving me bereft, broken and searching for revenge which led me into discovering many many things that true me off balance both physically and emotionally.
Jax's POVEverything was perfect. My life was perfect. My wife was perfect. She was the best thing that had ever happened to me in all my years of living. Our trip to Serenity Springs was perfect, in fact, too perfect, like something straight out of a fairytale. I could see why Ivy had always wanted to go there—it was truly magnificent. And nothing could beat our vow renewal ceremony. From the moment we woke up until the moment we fell asleep, the day had been pure perfection. As we boarded the plane back home, I couldn't help but relive the memories every single day. The images of Serenity Springs played like a movie reel in my mind, a constant reminder of the magic we had experienced there."I miss it already," I admitted to Ivy as we settled into our seats. "I wish we could stay there forever."She smiled, her eyes sparkling with nostalgia. "Me too honey. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and I can't wait to tell the children about everything"I pulled her closer, savoring the warm
Ivy's POVAs our vacation continued, one thing was very clear and it was that Serenity Springs had our hearts. The place was truly magical and sometimes I could not even believe it was real although I was in it. Our adventure continued, filled with laughter, exploration, and a deepening connection between Jax and me. Each day brought new adventures and experiences as we delved deeper into the heart of Serenity Springs. One sunny morning, we decided to embark on a hike through the enchanted forest that surrounded our cottage. The ancient trees towered above us, their leaves whispering secrets carried by the gentle breeze. We held hands as we followed the winding trail, our footsteps entwined with the rhythm of our hearts. We had dismissed the tour guide that I had contacted before our arrival just because we wanted to make it feel like a real adventure. discovering everything ourselves was going to be far more fun than someone else just taking us and showing it to us we thought and tru
Ivy's POVIt was so very thoughtful of Jax to plan a vacation for us as my birthday gift. As he presented me with an envelope containing the itinerary, my heart raced with excitement. It was not just a vacation; it was a chance to reminisce about our amazing trips in the past that I sorely missed. Jax knew exactly what I needed, and it was as if he read my mind.As I opened the envelope, a rush of anticipation filled me. Jax had planned a trip to Serenity Springs, a place I had always admired and longed to visit. It was said to be a place of pure enchantment, filled with breathtaking landscapes and a sense of serenity that could heal one's soul. I loved how he was so intentional about everything that concerned me and our relationship.Grinning from ear to ear, I knew I had to take charge and plan out all our activities for the trip. It was always my responsibility to find the fun things to do on these trips and I took pride in it. I couldn't wait to dive into the excursion possibiliti
Jax's POVEver since Ivy and I both officially handed the affairs of the town over to our children, I felt like a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders although I still usually went into the office on some days to see how it was going. Truly some habits die had and I was not being to hard on myself because that had been my life for so many years and now that it was time to change things around I was not going to lie and say that it was easy. The twins were managing the affairs of the town perfectly and flawlessly. It was not hard to see that they had really been paying attention to me when I was teaching them the affairs of the town all those summers ago and it was truly remarkable to see how well they had everything under control, both in terms of the overall wellness of the community and the thriving economy. The town's total revenue just kept doing numbers as days went by and it was a delight to witness it. They were truly doing such an exceptional job that it became apparen
Ivy's POVAs the town continued to thrive and flourish under the wise leadership of the twins, harmony and peace prevailed in our community as always and was the overall goal. It was fascinating to witness how they handled even the most difficult matters that arose yet with intelligence and empathy. What impressed me the most was the way they respected each other's differing opinions, always finding common ground for the betterment of the town. One particular day, as we all gathered at the town hall to discuss an upcoming decision, Luna and Felix found themselves on opposite sides of the debate. Despite their disagreement, they maintained a respectful and calm demeanor, allowing everyone to express their views. In the end, they compromised, incorporating ideas from both sides. It was a powerful lesson in effective leadership and collaboration.Sometimes I would find myself get so emotional as I saw them doing all these grown up things and handling matters so excellently because I stil
