My uncle. The man behind memories of my past I'd rather bury and never think of. The monster waiting for me in the dark whenever I retire to my bed. The man that hit and slapped me whenever I cried too much, whenever I couldn't make him come. The creature behind all my nightmares and night terrors... This man started bawling like a baby.

His entire body racked with sobs and he was shaking his head and murmuring his apology. Tears spilled down his dirty cheeks, snort and blood slid out of his nose. I'd never seen him so degraded, helpless, so out of his element.
