"I was trying to be quiet so I won't wake you up". He said as I watched him wrap a bandage around his stomach injury. "You got so scared you even called my first name."

I rolled my eyes, folded my arms, and sighed. "Well, seems a lot of people have been wanting me dead lately," I replied.

He chuckled then groaned. "That hurts." He said then cut out the excess bandage and sat up. He looked at his cut then at me. "Since you're here babydoll, might as well help me with my arm." He said, signaling to his bloody arm with a smirk.

I raised an eyebrow, "And I'd do that, why?"

"Cause I'm your darling husband that just got injured, badly." He replied.

He did get injured badly and I was even starting to be curious how and what he had been up to. Since he hadn't come home the previous day, It was evident that wherever he had gone to or whatever business he had had led to this.
