Stefan POV
“And why should we trust you?” I inspected this Aaron closely,
“You don't have to, but trust me... U need an inside man, especially one like me, I am closer to Eve than you think,” Aaron muttered,
Why Eve guard want to help us, I thought, I found it a bit shady, unless he wants something for himself,
“And what's in it for you?" I narrowed my eyes, watching him.
“I told you... I want—”
“Stop bullshitting, tell us what you want,”
Walking over to one of the windows, he looked through it, watching the soldiers down below, “Tell me, Stefan, your time here as a warrior was it— fun?”
I did know what he meant, being a warrior come with a lot of responsibility, and the only way you could be free from it is the change of leadership, I am starting to understand his motives now,

Lilith POVFinally, the train came to a stop, and the passengers began to hassle their way through the door. The journey from my hometown into the city was a long one.
