Chapter 7 They Are a Perfect Match

Regarding Helena Byron, Juliet Wagner didn't know much.

She only knew that Helena Byron was a little girl whom Morgan Byron had found in the hospital's small garden when he was young and brought her home.

It was said that she suffered from a congenital blood disorder and had lived in the hospital since birth. Her illness remained untreated, and her mother passed away soon after. Her father was nowhere to be found, leaving Helena Byron abandoned in the hospital.

In truth, the Byron family wasn't particularly fond of this pale little girl. No wealthy family would willingly take in such a child, but Morgan Byron was determined, almost obsessively, to bring her home.

As the youngest male in the family, Morgan Byron was the most spoiled, and his family couldn't refuse him. When she arrived, she had no name; the hospital records only listed a nickname, Helena. Despite being four years old, she appeared more like a one- or two-year-old. Morgan Byron gave her the name Helena and bestowed upon her the Byron surname.

Helena Byron was very shy and introverted, never speaking to anyone, and even forbade others from entering her room. However, she was close only to Morgan Byron.

From childhood, Morgan Byron cleaned her room, helped her dress, eat, and even brush her teeth when she was ill. She was like a child, or a pet, or his personal possession.

Of course, he was also her personal possession.

When Helena Byron reached the age of sixteen and began to develop feelings, she became even more dependent on Morgan Byron. She wouldn't allow him to get close to any other women. Even if Senior Mrs. Byron spoke a few more words with her own son, Helena Byron would become unhappy.

Her unhappiness manifested physically. Whenever she was upset, she would faint and then be bedridden for a long time. Over time, even Senior Mrs. Byron dared not get too close to Morgan Byron.

The Driver told Juliet Wagner all this with a look of incomprehension on his face. It was normal for him not to understand the affairs of infatuated men and women.

Juliet Wagner leaned against the corridor railing, and a glance back revealed Morgan Byron sitting on the sofa, gazing at the girl sitting not far from him.

The girl, blushing, lowered her head slightly, and Morgan Byron looked at her as if admiring a perfect painting, his eyes filled with adoration and a dreamy haze.

At that moment, Juliet Wagner was staring at Morgan Byron, and she thought her expression must be the same as his.

Because from this angle, Morgan Byron was him.

Even the tiny brown mole on the tip of his nose, its size, color, and position, were exactly the same.

It was as if God, pitying her loss, had given her another.

So, while everyone else in the world couldn't understand Morgan Byron, only she could.

Just as Jessie Watt had said, in a certain sense, she and Morgan Byron were a perfect match, both unreasonable madmen.

Was there really only one man or woman in the world? Without them, couldn't there be others?

Why must they seek an exact replacement?

Even if it were an exact replica, it wouldn't be the real person.

Jessie Watt didn't understand.

Eternal love is more fitting for the dead.

If Juliet Wagner's lover were still alive, they might have grown tired of each other and gone their separate ways by now.

But he died when she loved him most, which was like tearing out a piece of her heart.

So, she needed to find another piece to fill the void.

Even if it couldn't truly replace the original, at least it would prevent her from bleeding to death.

Morgan Byron, too, should be the same, right?
