Chapter 24: The Source of All Evil
“CONFESS your sin!” the man said in front of me as he looked at my eyes empathetically.
Sin? Is committing suicide for the sake of money a sin? Was it my fault that I took this filthy job for money? Is sacrificing myself for money a sin?
The answer is, yes.
Suicide is a dreadful sin, but what can I do? I’m powerless to intervene. I was just a regular person who was coerced into doing something for money. Money is the world’s source of all evil.
Can you see your parents putting in extra effort for you because they expect you to help them out of poverty? Because I can’t. I couldn’t stand seeing my parents working all hours of the day and night for me because they were confident that I could do everything they wanted.
