Getting away

I jumped out of the bed the moment i heard the sound of mom's car driving into the compound. She came home quite early than usual...

I avoided Mykel's gaze as I left the room. 

It's not like he's my whole world or anything. I was doing just fine before he came along.

I can't let him ruin me. All I need to do is to let him go and move on with my stupid life.

Hopefully, I can be able to get away from all this.

I got to my room and took a quick bath.

That's when it struck me - my mom's mother is still alive. What am I saying?? She has always been alive and she's doing just fine at Queens where she owns a big house with gardens, pools and everything a typical teenager could ever want.

Maybe it's high time I swallowed my pride and go live with her like she have always wanted.
