Chapter 51

Leon POV

I looked to see a group of men just off behind Hunter throwing smoke bombs into the crowd of wolves. I didn't really think he would risk his own men. What scum.

'Liam!' I shouted through the link as I let out an almighty howl. Suddenly there was a barrage of large bangs, as Liam and a group of men came out from a shack near the line of the forest. The sound was coming from the guns they were firing at the rogue men throwing the smoke bombs.

Normally guns aren't that fatal to wolves, with out healing abilities we usually can heal from a bullet wound in a few days. But it does more damage in human form.

I smiled a toothy grin at Hunter who was now looking around him with anger. Catching my gaze, he shifted into a large brown wolf, almost the same size as my own.

I took a step forward, lowering myself to the ground. Bracing to pounce and strike.

'Leon. Help.' Shannon's voice snapped into my head in panic. 'They knew. They knew we would run.'
