SERAPHINA

“Kneel and crawl to me, just like you did for Oliver.” He spat the name like a venomous curse.

If I were delusional enough, I might have thought there was jealousy in his voice. But I wasn’t that foolish.

When I didn’t move quickly enough, his patience thinned and his hands dropped to his belt and he unbuckled it, warning clear in his every move and he put it into his words, “Do as you’re told, little sister,” his voice turned low and dangerous as he wrapped the leather belt around his fists. The threat was there for me to see what he'll do if I didn't obey. It was a promise as he said, “Or be prepared for the consequences.”

And as if his threat wasn’t enough of tying me up and letting others torment me, he pulled out his phone, reminding me of how he was blackmailing me and demanded, “Do I need to remind you, what else is at stake here?”

  • Lord Of Violence [Elite Lords University Series]   This'll be your home

SERAPHINA As soon as the car came to a halt in front of the house, the same house where I had sent my stepbrother to jail with just a phone call, Dante stepped out and quickly came around to my side of the door. I doubted it was his gentlemanly behaviour suddenly surfacing. More likely, he was making sure I didn’t waste time cowering in the passenger seat, like I was actually doing. With brutal force, he grabbed my arm and yanked me out of the car.“Dante, why did you bring me here?” I asked, trying to dig my heels into the pavement, but he was too strong as he dragged me up the front steps. He stopped when he was at the top stair, and I felt his grip tighten. His voice, low and chilling, filled the air as he said, “If you don’t walk on your own, I’ll bend you over these steps and spànk you hard.” My eyes widened in shock and at my silence, he arched a dark brow at me. His eyes filled with a daring gleam as if he wanted me to challenge him. I swallowed hard and gave him a relucta

  • Lord Of Violence [Elite Lords University Series]   Where it all started

SERAPHINA "Lets go, little lamb."I startled and looked to my other side as Oliver pressed a hand to a small of my back, urging me to move. And there was him, the golden boy, the prince charming… or was he? On first glance he didn’t look like he belonged with these two, he looked like he has stepped into the wrong story. He wore a soft white T-shirt, loose at the collar, giving peeks of the hard lines of his collarbones. Faded jeans, casual and deceptively harmless. Like a next door neighbor, who’d always help you out. He looked like someone you would run to when you are in trouble, but I saw it in his eyes… he was the trouble. A deceptive one at that, you won’t realise how deep you are in until its too late. Even now he gave me a sweet smile, and despite knowing and understanding after last night how he could easily manipulate me, I still let it ease me. Even though I knew better now. He wasn’t the safe one. None of them were. But I was a fool who needed something to ease m

  • Lord Of Violence [Elite Lords University Series]   We'll drive you

SERAPHINA “I’m not hungry.” I was ready to bolt, but then a hand landed on my thigh, stopping me with a warning squeeze. My mother was all smiles across the table, her voice syrupy as she pretended to care and said, “You should eat more, Phina. You’ll need your strength.” “She sure will,” Dante said, his fingers digging into my thigh and making my whole body clench in fear of what he will do. I realised the table had gone silent, and when I looked up I found both my mother and his father were staring at Dante. He smiled as he added, “Semester exams are near, are they not?” My ears heated and I could feel a flush creeping up on my cheeks. But he ignored me as he sipped on his coffee. And then after a beat, with soft pat to my thigh, he lifted his hand. I almost deflated in relief, only to go rigid, when Oliver murmured from my other side, his words only for my ears, “I doubt he was talking about your exams. There are other more exciting things that will need your strength, so

  • Lord Of Violence [Elite Lords University Series]   Didn’t sleep well?

SERAPHINA “There is my little sister. Come have breakfast with us. It has been too long since we saw you.” My stomach curdled. For a moment there I doubted myself. But then Oliver said, “Not that long.” Allister laughed. And I could feel my face heating up. Victor Morelli chose that moment to put his newspaper down and looked at me. “Seraphina, come. Let’s have breakfast like a family for once.” Reluctantly, I walked to the only chair left and that was between Dante and Oliver. Even though there was a dining table that could dine more than twenty people at a time but Viktor liked to have breakfast and dinner in a close setting when he wasn’t entertaining his guest. I realised it was his way of pretending that he had a close knitted family. When half of it wasn’t even his family in all sense of that word. “You look tired,” Oliver mused, his voice dripping with amusement. I didn’t respond. “Didn’t sleep well?” “Maybe she had a nightmare?” Dante murmured. “Or, nightmares?” Alli

  • Lord Of Violence [Elite Lords University Series]   Are you ready to play?

SERAPHINA I woke up with a start, my breath catching in my throat as the remnants of last night clung to my skin like a second layer, a cruel reminder of what had transpired. The room was dimly lit, a sliver of golden light peeking through the heavy curtains, telling me that it was already morning when what had happened last night was still so fresh in my mind like it was only minutes ago.For a brief moment I wanted to chalk it all up to a nightmare. But the heaviness in my body, in the air surrounding me was suffocating and proof that it had all been real. The ghostly imprint of fingers on my body were real, the scent of them still clinging around my room, it was real.My phone vibrated against the nightstand and I hesitated before I reached out with shaky fingers to check it.My stomach dropped the moment I saw the text waiting for me.Anonymous: Last night was just the beginning, princess. Are you ready to play?
