Mark hasn't been himself. So much was happening, and he could not shake off Clair's betrayal, but couldn't ask for a divorce. She was not only his wife but now the Luna of the pack, and with her father's backing, there was no ousting her from the game.

Mark paced around in his room, trying hard to think of a way out, but every idea of his was more of a blockage. The door opened, revealing his mother. “You can't be like this? You haven't had anything to eat, and your father has been calling,” Mark hissed.

“My father? Is he even my father?” he questioned. “He gave away what is mine to his favorite son. He wants me to do all the work, and when it's time for the credit, it goes to that useless son of a. Mrs. Camfrey understood the feelings of her son. She, too, was not in shock.

“You can not lose hope now. Frederick is not the alpha. You are. You have the power to do all it takes to see him fall, and no one will question you.” Mark thought for a while, and a smile crept onto his face.

  • Lost Her To My Brother    Chapter 50

The lights were off when Fredrick walked into the room. He could hear her quiet sobs but couldn’t tell where they were coming from. At the foot of the bed sat Emilia. She couldn’t explain what had gotten into her—the tears flowed freely, and her heart felt unbearably heavy. She hated everything about what had just transpired downstairs.Lina knew everything about the man Emilia married. She could tell when it was his birthday, what he liked most, and what his favorite colors were. Emilia didn’t know any of that. She felt his steps nearing her, but she was too overwhelmed to react. Frederick sat down beside her. The room wasn’t completely dark—the moonlight streamed in, casting a soft glow in her direction. Her hair fell over her face, hiding her puffy, swollen eyes. Frederick’s fingers brushed the loose strands away. Despite her tears, she looked breathtaking.“Emi,” he whispered, gently caressing her flushed cheek. “What’s wrong?”Emilia sobbed harder at the sound of his voice. How c

Ever since Clair's little confrontation, Lina had not been herself. She didn’t like how swiftly the issue had been brushed aside and how Fredrick had stood by his wife. He was too soft on her—not ready to punish, which wasn’t like his usual self.“I thought he mentioned it was only a marriage of convenience?” Lina turned to Sally with a puzzled look. “Yes, he did say that at the beginning... but I’m not so sure anymore,” Sally replied, busy setting up the dining table for dinner. It was past eight o’clock, but, strangely, Fredrick had called to request dinner with his wife.“You know, I always thought I’d never see him marry—at least not for love,” Sally said, amused at how much had changed over the months.Lina didn’t share in her joy. She had always wanted Fredrick, but by putting business and her father’s company first, everyone had assumed it was strictly to strengthen each other's positions. But deep down, her heart yearned for him. She could barely go a day without thinking abo

Everything had been a mess since his defeat at Lakes. Now, Alpha of the pack, he had worked so hard to keep under control; Mark couldn't feel the bliss. He couldn’t help but think that the people wanted someone else, not him. It was easy to see the truth in their eyes and their words.“How do you do, Alpha? Will your elder brother be coming for the moon dance this year?” they asked more frequently than he could keep up with. The ride to the office was quick, yet everything felt shallow, and the days passed by like hallucinations. He had no beta, his wife was now known for her skills in other men’s beds, and his father wouldn’t cease reminding him of how much of a failure he had become.Mark didn’t mind the nasty comments thrown at him; he felt like an alpha without powers. His father wouldn’t let him handle even the bare minimum, and every time he asked, he would be reminded of how nasty his wife was and how his unsteady home would portray him to the people. Mark sighed as he stepped

Emilia was still in the dining room when the front door suddenly made a huge noise. She turned to Lina, who shrugged, unsure of what was happening. Both ladies hurried to the front, but nothing could have prepared them for the sight before them. On the floor was Claire Camfrey, on her knees, surrounded by guards awaiting orders to take her out.“Wait,” Emilia breathed hastily. She motioned for them to leave, and Clair quickly got to her feet, dusting the dirt off her expensive leather jacket.“And to what do I owe this August visit from the Luna herself?” Clair hissed, walking into the living area. The extremely intriguing decor and furniture made her eyes beam with excitement. This was her dream—to have a place like this to call her own. Oh, the parties she would host and the guests she would entertain. But her daydreaming was cut short by the interrupting voice of Emilia.“What is it that you want? Or did you just walk through your enemy’s den to admire the decor?”Clair cleared her

Clair had been pacing in her room since returning from the Anderson mansion. She couldn’t bring herself to digest her mother’s words, and her father's not taking her calls wasn’t helping either. Dama could only watch as her mistress grew more restless, unable to offer any comfort.News spreads quickly in the realm, but bad news spreads faster than wildfire. Dama glanced at the newspaper in her hands, unsure if now was the right time to hand it over to Clair.“My lady,” Dama called softly, stretching out the newspaper. Clair turned sharply, snatching it from her grasp.“How many times do I have to tell you I wish not to be disturbed? My life is falling apart, and I can’t afford interruptions now, so leave and—” Clair stopped mid-sentence, her eyes landing on the front page.“A slut Luna cheating with another Alpha.”Clair couldn’t contain herself. How was this not her? The woman sprawled on the bed, dressed in red lingerie, her body shamelessly exposed—it was her.“This picture… This w

Mr. Anderson stared out the window as the car came to a halt.“We've arrived, sir,” Trevor Adante said from the driver's seat.Mr. Anderson smiled, watching the pleasant view before him. A young, elegant lady dressed in a blue strapless dress above her knee and black heels took steady steps towards the car. She leaned on the door, staring charmingly at the man inside.“Hi, baby,” Kathleen Williams smiled alluringly.“Ah—there is my baby.” Mr. Anderson hastily opened the door from inside, letting her in. Kathleen made sure to show off her pale white skin without holding back, flipping her hair smugly over her shoulder.“I know it must be hard for you not to bring your wife this time around, but I promise to be good company for you.”Mr. Anderson quickly shook his head in denial. “Don't say that. A beauty like you is worth every minute of mine. My wife has attended far too many. It's about time she takes a rest.”Kathleen smiled warmly. Everything was going just as she had planned. With

Mrs. Anderson readily walked out of her bedroom, fully dressed to accompany her husband to visit the Alpha of Galatea. The defeat and humiliation they had suffered at the hands of their daughter had not only tarnished their sparkling reputation but also stained the company’s once-pristine image. Mrs. Anderson couldn’t stop blaming her husband. He had been the one to encourage their daughter. The realm had avoided wars and conflicts for decades, and all it took was Claire batting her eyelashes and pouting like a baby to make every man in her life agree to do the unthinkable.Mrs. Anderson joined her husband in his home office, taking a seat while he rounded up some calls.“You should stay back,” he said, coming closer. Mrs. Anderson looked up at him, his face cold and distant. He had not been himself since Kathleen Williams arrived at their home. She hated this side of him.“What do you mean I should stay back? I am to meet with Luna, and my influence will grant us more,” she countered

A week. It has been a week since the great loss to Lakes. Mark couldn’t bring himself to understand how everything slipped right before his very eyes. The humiliation was too much, but he couldn’t stay locked up in his room, much to his displeasure. In the Alpha’s office, he sat, staring at his father, who wore a stern look. He had been away and had just returned. Another scolding was the last thing Mark needed, but he did not disobey.“Why did you do it? I thought— I thought better than this.”Mark clenched his fists hard under the table. “I am sorry, Father. It won’t happen again.”Mr. Camfrey scoffed. “Of course it’s not going to happen again, because I will make sure of that.”Mark did not like the tone of his voice. “We would have gotten it if not for Fredrick. He is my brother, but how can he be against me?”Mark stared at his father pitifully. He desperately wanted his recognition.“Why do you always have to blame your brother? Frederick was out of town. He was at a conferen

A calm morning, as usual. But while the world outside remained peaceful, it wasn’t the same for Emilia. She hadn't gotten a good night's rest. Her wide, restless eyes stared at the silent ceiling, its whiteness mocking her. The image of Lina, dressed provocatively, heading towards Fredrick's room—she couldn't have imagined that. And yet, the rage bubbling within her was far too real to ignore. With a sharp shove, she flung the white duvet off her body, standing abruptly. She marched toward his room, unbothered by the morning cold or the bare sting of her feet against the cold floor. Rage made her numb. The hallway was quiet, save for a few maids moving silently about their chores. Without a second thought, Emilia banged into Fredrick's room, heading straight for the bed. But it was empty. Only the duvet hinted at someone beneath.“Son of a bitch,” she cursed, snapping the lights on and yanking the duvet away. But beneath it lay only two carelessly arranged pillows. Gritting her teeth,
