Chapter 7: Chapter Seven: The Obstacles Set by Song Nianxue

Venus Kellogg shook her head, suppressing the conjectures in her heart, hesitating to speak.

Levi Graham, with a patient demeanor, said, "You look like you have something to say. Go ahead, it's okay."

Venus Kellogg tried to hold back but couldn't, "Bro, do you know President?"

Levi Graham was a bit surprised, "Why are you asking this?"

"It's nothing, just curious."

Venus Kellogg added, "If it's inconvenient to answer, forget it."

Levi Graham smiled, "No inconvenience. I do know him."

Venus Kellogg had been with Malcolm Godwin for several years, but rarely followed him. Hearing Levi Graham's words, she was somewhat surprised, yet it seemed normal for people of their status to know each other. She felt a bit guilty, thinking she had caused Malcolm Godwin to misunderstand Levi Graham because of her.

When she got home that evening, Erin Ruskin called her. Normally, with so many artists under her, Venus Kellogg wouldn't be a priority. But because Levi Graham seemed close to Venus Kellogg, Erin Ruskin was unsure about their relationship and decided to shift some resources her way.

After talking to Erin Ruskin, Venus Kellogg felt much better. It looked like her income would soon stabilize. She couldn't wait to share the good news with her friend Cathy Nathaniei.

Cathy Nathaniei, though not in the industry, had heard of Morning Star's reputation and was very happy for her. "That's great, Shuyi! Does this mean you'll be making a lot of money now?"

On the phone, Venus Kellogg nodded, "Yes, once I start earning, we can live a good life."

Cathy Nathaniei's voice was excited, and after a moment's hesitation, she asked, "By the way, how have you been feeling lately? You're not as young as before, so take care of yourself even when you're busy."

"It's fine," Venus Kellogg replied indifferently. Even if she was doing it on purpose, with Malcolm Godwin protecting her, she wouldn't dare to confront her.

Malcolm Godwin, seeing the woman's downcast eyes, felt a strange emotion. She was wrapped in a white towel, water droplets sliding down her hair, dripping onto her slender, fair neck, and soaking into her costume.

Familiar scents enveloped her, and looking at the man's chiseled jawline, she opened her lips, "What does President mean by this?"

The man didn't answer, instead lowering his head to kiss her red lips, his wet tongue invading her mouth.

Was it because they hadn't kissed in a long time that he seemed especially fierce? Weren't they already over? What was he doing now?

Thinking this, Venus Kellogg felt a surge of indignation, biting down hard. The man winced, and she pushed him away.

Holding her swollen lips, she frowned, "What does President mean? If I remember correctly, we are no longer in that kind of relationship."

"One night."

"Huh?"

The man's thin lips coldly uttered, "I give you resources, you spend one night with me."

Venus Kellogg's pupils contracted, understanding his meaning, her voice rising, "No!"

What did he think she was? She had indeed become his mistress for money, but their contract had ended. Besides, Kristin Bennett was back; why didn't he go to her? Oh, right, Kristin Bennett's health was poor, and Malcolm Godwin's stamina might be too much for her.
