Chapter Three

"Good morning Sir, here is your schedule for today." Rachel Estella said in a loud dull voice right after she had walked in to the office.

Fred leaned back in his office chair and looked at her, today she was wearing a trouser and a red suit with her hair pushed to her left shoulder. Her eyes were lowered to the notebook in her hands while her face showed all seriousness.

His lingering gaze moved from the white heels she was wearing to the tight trousers that showed off her great curves up to her face, and yet, somehow his eyes made a shiver rush down her spine. The way he looked at her like he was willing to devour her with just a beckoning snap of her fingers made her shudder internally, Rachel was one hundred percent sure that she didn't like it.

These two weeks are going to be the hardest, but she had promised Sir Richard that she would at least try to stay, and despite his son's habits Rachel was trying to drag it on for as long as she could hold on.

"You have a meeting at nine with the government officials." She added, trying to act like his nature wasn't affecting her in the least bit.

"You have become more sexy in the past few years, Rachel Estella." Fred stated with a sigh, he looked down at the papers in front of him.

"And you've become more of a pervert in the last few years sir, do you need me to call some models for you to quench your hunger?" Rachel replied unhurriedly as if discussing the weather report.

Her lips curled in to a small smile as she stared down at the note book in her hand, she wrote a few things down.

Fred looked up at the sound of her voice, it looks like the Rachel Estella who could throw words around was back. He leaned back and looked at her scrutinously once again, but this time she didn't react; just as if she didn't feel it.

"What's the need for a model when you're right here? I wonder how your lips would..."

"Fred!" Rachel Estella whispered through gritted teeth, she knew exactly what his next words would be if she didn't cut him off.

Fred's usual smirk surfaced as he stared at her flushed face, the red making him to think of just forcing his way to taste her lips.

She lifted her hand that was holding the pen, pointing it towards him, her glare serious. "You don't know who you're messing with, Fred." She warned.

Rachel frowned, she didn't know if she could take any more of his words, otherwise hitting him with a glass bottle after she resigns won't be a problem.

Fred seemed to have heard the biggest joke of his life as he slowly stood up, adjusting his black armani suit. He buried his hands deep in the pockets of his slacks then raised his gaze back at her, the fuming cat in the room.

"You tell me, who exactly am I messing with?" He asked as he slowly took a step towards her, elegance could been seen in his every move.

Rachel Estella watched his movement towards her and she felt like pulling out all her hair from her scalp, if that guy got closer then she was afraid she may do something she will regret.

"You... What are you doing?" Rachel asked as she took a step back, something telling her to run out of this place as fast as she could due to that look he was giving her.

"What do you think I am doing, Rachel Estella ?" He questioned back, getting closer to where she stood.

Rachel opened her lips to say something but then she clamped them shut, she huffed out in anger then turned around and walked out of the office.

She heard his laughter, that sound causing small vibrations in her body. Rachel threw the note book on her desk and immediately headed to the bathroom.

The silent room gave her a sense of relief, she walked over to the sink. Her eyes locked with the emerald doe eyes that where staring back at her through the mirror. She stood there for a while, wild thoughts of her past rushing through her mind. Ever since Fred came back she had been reacting different, the way he was affecting her stability was starting to surprise her numerous times.

Rachel always thought that her hatred for him was solid but with those mini reactions something was really wrong, truly she just wanted to resign and stay away from that pervert. She had already received replies from different companies; all she needed to do was go over and do the interviews, but Sir Richard just wouldn't have it.

Sir Richard had helped her a lot and this can't even act as a bit of payment for all he had done for her, plus she had promised him already.

Rachel placed her hands under the tap and the cold water was like a reminder of reality, she washed her hands then dried them with a tissue before stepping out.

Sucking in a deep breath, she decided to try her best to stay away from the pervert and maybe that would make these two weeks easier to go through.

She walked over to her desk and sat down focusing on the files she had to look through for her boss, Rachel decided to make herself busy for now as she waited for his meeting to start.

It took roughly thirty minutes before he walked out of his office with all seriousness, Rachel nodded and carried the necessary documents and followed him towards the meeting room that was on a floor below them.

This time around he didn't say anything to her that wasn't related to business and she was really grateful for it. She looked at him from behind as the elevator ascended.

Sincerely he didn't have any good characters but he was the best business man she had ever known and she liked the fact that he always did things in the proper way. Rachel watched his tense shoulders as they walked out of the shoulders.

He looked handsome in that suit, though the serious and cold look in his eyes made him look unapproachable but more attractive.

Rachel shook her head when she realised that her thoughts were taking the wrong direction, she should be thinking about other stuff like when she will go back to hospital to see her brother, Sam.

They soon arrived at the meeting room and walked in, the other party had already arrived and Fred acknowledged their presence with a handshake and a few comments before the meeting started.

As usual, Rachel had nothing to say but keep taking notes and only talk when she needs to remind her boss something. They worked in sync and harmony which the two of them never expected due to their constant wars.

Soon the meeting ended and they both sat back, it went more smoothly than they had expected since the other party was from the government.

"You have another meeting in thirty minutes, sir." Rachel reminded as they stepped out of the meeting room and Fred nodded.

Rachel realised that the silence between them could make her work more easier and soon she won't realise when the two weeks are over, no more irritation would do.

They walked towards the elevators and waited for a while before they opened and they both stepped in. Rachel stood far away from him as if his scent burns and Fred seemed to notice, he turned his head to look at her as the elevator doors closed.

Her head was lowered as she read through the documents in the blue file that was in her hand, a thought crossed through his head and he turned to her with one sharp move.

He closed in on her, locking her in the corner of the elevator with his body. Rachel gasped in surprise and shock as the file fell out of her hand landing on to the floor.

"What are you doing?" She whispered, his cologne attacking her senses as her emerald eyes looked up at him locking with his grey eyes that were pinned on her.

He watched her in amusement as she started putting up her guard against him, his initial plan was just to tease her but looking at her now Fred decided to try and step back or else holding himself back would be hard.

His eyes darted to her red lips and he sucked in a deep breath, Fred knew better than anyone how her little actions always affected him the hardest. Her hands moved to his chest to push him away but he didn't move, Rachel felt herself start to panic.

Her eyes were still held by his and her heart accelerated in her chest at a speed she couldn't understand. Her lips parted to say something but not a single sound managed to come out as another set of feathery softness attacked her hand and her lips were captured in a deep kiss.

For a moment Rachel forgot how to breath as a pair of arms wrapped around her waist pulling her close. Her heart stopped for a second, and she felt like a fire had been lit in the pit of her stomach. She blinked her doe eyes in shock and surprise for a minute before her sense returned.

Rachel used every bit of strength and pushed him hard but still Fred didn't move, his arms tightened around her and she started hitting his chest with her small fists.

Fred was finding it hard to let go, he could feel her hesitation in her reactions but the moment he tasted her soft sweet lips all his restraint vanished in to thin air.

Rachel didn't know how to react anymore, his tongue darted in to her mouth and she gasped out of shock, her hands not bothering to fight any more as she lost her rationality, her eyes falling close.

Her mind went blank and her knees became weak, a shiver rushed down her spine as all the heavenly sweetness made her forget for a minute how much she hated the man in front of her and his touch.

Rachel started to feel like her every breath had been sucked out of her and any minute soon she would faint, but at that moment Fred let go, his hot heavy breath fanning her face as he leaned his forehead on hers.

Rachel opened her eyes, her vision blur as she saw his grey eyes that were watching her every action, they had specks of green in them that passionately held her gaze that it was almost hard for her to snap out of the moment. She started to realise what had just happened seconds ago, she remembered where she was and it was only now she had realised that even the elevator seemed to have stopped.

"Let me go!" Rachel whispered softly, she wasn't sure if it should be anger or shyness but whatever it was the space between the both of them was starting to suffocate her.

Fred seemed to have regained his mind and he looked at her eyes for a second then stepped back and buried his hands deep in her slacks after pressing the emergency button again.

The elevator started moving again and now she understood why it had stopped just like that.

The silence that took over was so suffocating between them, the elevator doors opened and before he could say anything to apologize for his actions, Rachel stepped our of the room.

She strode towards her desk and packed her stuff, she grabbed her bag and turned towards the exit door. Fred watched as she took the stairs, not bothering to look back.

He lowered his head with a small smile. Even though he liked to get on her nerves very often, that was all there was. He had never wanted to take advantage of her before, but it was getting so hard to control how he felt for her now.

Two years ago, he left the country because of her and thought it would be easy to forget her but two days with her now and he was already failing to control his inner desires.

Rachel rushed down the stairs towards the lobby, it was far from the thirty first floor but she didn't want to give up or stop for a minute. Tears flowed down her cheeks and she wiped them away with the back of her hand, she stumbled forward and hurriedly held on to the rails to avoid falling.

She stopped moving and sat down on the cold ground, staring at the white wall before her. She felt so confused.
