★ Sienna’s POV ★

The moment I heard that voice, something clicked inside my memory. It was warm, upbeat, and vaguely familiar—almost too familiar. I turned my head instinctively, and there he was.

Jiro.

He was dressed in a sleek black suit, a wine glass in one hand, his dark hair neatly styled. Behind him, two Korean guests remained seated at the table he had just left. From the look of things, he had only recently stepped away.

As he walked toward our table, my whole body froze. I didn’t know how to react. And from the way Denver stiffened beside me, I could tell he wasn’t expecting this either.

“Sienna!” Jiro greeted with a bright smile, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of surprise. “I didn’t know you’d be here tonight.”

I didn’t answer right away. I just stared at him, unable to process the sudden collision of two completely separate parts of my life. Then, Jiro shifted his gaze to Denver and gave a polite nod.

“Mr. Thompson?”

“You two know each other?” Denver asked, his voice ca

  • Love Beyond Contact (English Version)   Chapter 47; More Than Just the Salmon

★ Sienna’s POV ★ I sat in silence, poking at my food as Denver engaged in yet another conversation with his business partners. He was still right beside me—technically—but his chair was turned just enough to show where his attention really was. I could hear their low voices, full of technical terms and numbers I didn’t even bother trying to understand. I was used to this—used to him being in his element. But tonight… something felt different. The silence between us wasn’t comfortable. It was cold. Heavy. I thought tonight would be special, maybe even romantic. But instead, I found myself dining with a man who had forgotten he came with someone. Trying to distract myself, I focused on my plate. The food was delicious, to be fair. The salmon was buttery and soft, the asparagus still crisp despite being plated a while ago. But even with such fine cuisine, I had no appetite. I cut into the fish with care and took another small bite. "You’re not clingy, Sienna. You don’t need to int

  • Love Beyond Contact (English Version)   Chapter 45: Into My World

★ Denver’s POV ★When we arrived at the venue, I carefully pulled the car into the private parking space beneath the rooftop restaurant. It was one of those exclusive spots in Gangnam—minimalist architecture, glass everywhere, warm ambient lights glowing through the windows, and the kind of panoramic view of Seoul’s skyline you’d expect on the cover of a wedding magazine. Perfect setting for Hana’s wedding dinner.I stepped out first and walked over to the passenger side. I didn’t say a word—just extended my hand to her. She looked at me briefly before placing her hand in mine. Her grip was firm, but I could feel her nerves. She looked absolutely stunning tonight, but I could tell this environment was new to her. And I couldn’t blame her—she wasn’t used to these high-profile social events filled with executives, media people, and celebrities. This was my world… and for the first time, I was letting her step into it, not as my employee, but as my wife.As we approached the entrance tha

★ Sienna’s POV ★I had just finished fixing the bed when a knock came at the door.“Sienna?” Denver’s voice floated from the hallway. “Can I come in?”I rolled my eyes even though he couldn’t see me. “Come in,” I replied, quickly fixing my oversized shirt and shorts. I looked nothing close to “dinner-ready.” I wasn’t even close to breakfast-ready. I looked like I belonged under a blanket, binge-watching shows—not attending some formal dinner. He stepped inside with two large paper bags in hand, both stamped with logos from a luxury boutique and a well-known makeup brand.“We have dinner tonight,” he announced, placing the bags on the bed with a soft smile. “It’s for Hana’s wedding planning. Formal setting. I had this picked out for you. I hope you like it.”My brows furrowed. “Wait—dinner? Tonight? And you’re telling me now?”“I didn’t want to pressure you earlier,” he said, calm as ever. “You were upset, and I didn’t want to push. But… I’d really like it if you came with me tonight.”

★ Sienna’s POV ★I had already gone through several episodes of a K-drama, yet I hadn’t understood a single thing. The subtitles were there, sure, but my brain wasn’t absorbing any of it. I just sat there, staring blankly at the screen, mindlessly stuffing chips into my mouth—chips that now tasted like cardboard, yet I kept chewing as if they’d suddenly taste better the more I ate.We had been in Korea for almost two days now, but it felt like nothing. I hadn’t been invited anywhere. I hadn’t even been asked if I wanted to join. Yes, I was technically just the secretary on paper. But wasn’t I also his wife? With a sigh, I reached for my phone resting beside me on the couch. One new message.DenverHave you eaten yet? How’s your day going? Sorry about today.“Wow. Texting me now, huh?” I muttered under my breath. “How thoughtful.” I rolled my eyes and tossed my phone back onto the sofa, refusing to even reply. Whatever. Let him deal with it.I focused my eyes back on the screen, still

★ Sienna’s POV ★“We just arrived the other day. My husband’s here for a business trip,” I explained with a polite smile, wrapping my fingers tighter around the cup in front of me.“Oh, you’re married?” Jiro asked, clearly surprised. He slowed down for a moment as he adjusted the chair across from me.I wasn’t sure why, but his reaction made something twist quietly in my chest. Maybe it wasn’t even his question—it was the memory that came with it. Denver hadn’t texted me all day. Not even a simple “Have you eaten?” or “I’ll be late.” Nothing. Usually, he’d at least check in once. Today? Not even a seen message.“How long have you been married?” Jiro asked again, his tone light but curious.I paused. How long had we been married? It hadn’t even been a full year. Actually… it might only be a few months.“You okay?” he asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.“Yeah. Sorry. Something just crossed my mind,” I said quickly, forcing a smile that felt a little too practiced.“Hm. Alright.” His v
