Chapter One

Waking up to the voice of my little sister, I slowly blink my eyes open to meet the reflection of the sun dimming in my eyes. The rays which made my vision blur for a while. 

My gaze hit the widow, and through the splitted curtains, I could see rays of the sun painting the sky with his beautiful orange colour. Oh God! it morning again.

I don’t know about you, I love mornings a lot but when it comes to Monday mornings like this. It’s my worst nightmare. 

Basically because of the fact that I’m already 17 years old and I’m still struggling to get my last year of high school done and over with. 

“Wake up already, Issabella” my sister’s tiny little voice whispered into my ears. 

I sprung my head up to meet Risa pair of blue eyes lurking into mine and her long lashes blinking like that of a puppy. I groaned and made to sit up that was when I notice she was hovering on top me. 

I can’t count up to how many times I’ve warned her to stop waking me up but she never heed. 

Yeah that’s what happens when you have troublesome and annoying sister like risa. 

I could have easily push her of but no I decided to get a little revenge for disturbing my peaceful sleep. 

With my fingers fixed at her ribs, I started tickling her. 

“stop, stop, stop! she said" she squirmed in my arms and at same time laughing like crazy. 

I only stopped when my instinct told me to well not entirely my instinct, she was almost laughing to death so I took pity on her. 

“Isabella! Risa! time for school " mum’s voice booms from the living room while I was already getting off bed. 

My Mum;Mrs Williams has a resurant while My Dad is a Banker . That’s explains it I’m from a middle class family. 

“coming mum” we both chorused. 

While risa walked out of my room, I Went to the bathroom to freshen up first before walking downstairs for breakfast. 

Getting to the dinning table, I met my Dad,Mum and little sister preparing to eat . 

“Good Morning Dad” I pulled out a seat and sat on It. 

“Good Morning! Good Morning Bella! Good Morning Baby” they answered respectively. 

Sounds of cutlery was the only noise breaking the silence as We all ate our food quietly. 

I got ready for school. 

“Bye Mum , Bye Dad! Bye sweetheart take good care of yourself.” I Hugged my little sister. then went out for a cab to take me to school. 

Stepping out of the car, In as much as I wouldn’t wanna set my eyes on the inscription at the top of the school building, my eyes still find their way there. the inscription; ZAYN HIGH SCHOOL is written in bold golden prints making it impossible for one’s gaze to avoid. 

As I headed for my block, I heard my name which made me killed a step. 

“Isabella!” Even Though I was unconscious, I’ll still identify the owner of that voice. Another annoying someone in my life called; Chloe. 

“Hey baby girl how you doing?” She squealed the moment she got to where I was. 

“I’m good as you can see,” I shrugged and she only giggles. We walked alongside together chit-chatting over random stuffs, especially those that didn’t concerns us. Well, when you have a best friend like Chloe you are bound to talk against your own will. 

We finally got to the classroom. I sat down on my chair which the first seat at the left roll while Chloe sat down next to me. With my bag on my thighs, I unzipped it and started searching for the notes we would be taking this morning. Being a finale year student, I am already familiar with the schemes so I don’t need any time table. 

“Hey Isabella!” A husky voice Spoke softly from behind me and I knew it’s rey. He’s usually a back bencher not until he forcefully sent the students who sits behind me and retained the seat for himself. “Good morning!” He added. I bit my lower lips fighting the urge not to face him but I did. And I instantly regretted it. 

his vikking golden hair was falling over his left eye, matching with color of his skin. He’s as bright as sun and he’s always looking heavenly gorgeous the only thing strange about him is that is has been smiling of recent. He’s not the type who usually smiles but ever since he started sitting beside me, the smiling remains constant. I don’t know if he looks more cute in his usual dangerous-cold Aura or his new mysterious sweet Aura. 

“Oh Rey G.. Good morning” I replied, avoiding eye contact. I am not usually this shy but when it comes to rey, I become a stuttering mess. 

Who wouldn’t be? Rey has that fiery hazel eyes that can set your whole system on fire, he has the most intimidating height you can ever imagine. every other students are like sands compare to him and that just adds up to his ego. 

Yes, he’s a bully and even though he’s feared by everyone, he’s also the school sweetheart. 

Everyone male student want to be rey and every girls wants rey, well except me though. 

You maybe wondering how we started talking to each other? 

Well even me I don’t really know how, we aren’t even friends to begin with. 

we had never spoken a word to each 

other ever since first grade and middle grade. I am still trying to figure out why he suddenly starts warming up to me some few days back. Rey is not someone to be seen talking to an infamous girl like me. 

Never!! And that alone is making me scared, nervous and curious. 

The teacher soon came in , it was Mr Henry the physics teacher. 

I knew it’s gonna be a boring class As always so i had braced myself for it. 

After spending hours in torture of running through some calculations in which only aliens can understand, his period was finally over. We had few other classes before we went on recession. 

 If there’s one thing I love about school, that’s recession period. 

I and Chloe went to the Cafeteria, I ordered for Chip's while she did the same. 

Getting back to our table, my tray almost fell down, my lips dropped open and heart dropped down somewhere below my kneels. 

I was met with Rey who was sitting comfortably on my chair. I and Chloe glanced at each other and I guess she’s equally surprised too.  

Firstly, Rey is never seen in school cafeteria for reasons best known to him. and the most shocking part of it is that he’s sitting right on my chair. 

Yeah, here in this cafeteria we all have our respective seats, once you’ve use a particular seat for more than three to four times then consider it yours and mine and Chloe’s is the table at the isolated part of the cafe.  

After standing for what seems like hours, we finally So we moved closer to our table. 

We both greeted him and he only nodded then smiled particularly at me. 

I gulped hard and use the extra chair that was left while Chloe sat on hers. 

I waited for him to say something but he was just there staring at me without saying a word. I looked at Chloe and she was busy mouching on her chips. Rey’s gaze was burning over me and when I couldn’t take it in anymore I decided to break the silence. 

“Why..why are you here?” I mustered courage to look at him. 

“can't I sit down in my school cafeteria?” He retorted with an eye roll. 

I just hummed and started eating my chips awkwardly while rey enjoyed torturing me with his gaze.

School has always closed, after waving goodbyes to Chloe, I stood by the road side waiting for a cab to take me home. Suddenly a car pulled over before me. It’s was a yellow spot car. 

It has titled glasses making it impossible to see who’s inside the car. I wanted to move away when the person whined down and behold rey was sitting in the car. 

“Care for a ride?” He raised an eye brow. 

“No don’t worry.” 

“Unfortunately, I don’t take ‘NO’for an answer.” He smirked and walked out of the car. he opened the back seat and motioned me to enter. I stared at the car then at him. this is the first time he’s offering me something and A sweet part of me was telling me to just accept it but no matter the Accent he is faking now, he’s still that perverted bully whom I never liked one bit so I opened my mouth to decline but he has already lifted me into his arm and threw me into the car. 

“What’s your house address?” He asked the moment he got back to the steering. 

I replied him with a glare. Who the hell offer a ride to someone by force? 

“Okay,” he chuckled and started the engine. “Since you won’t say anything, I guess I’ll have to take you to my house” 

“the 5th house at parklane.” I quickly voiced out. I’m already in his car and the car is already in motion so Its left for me to just give him my address.
