Chapter 3 The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger

The man had just emerged from the shower. His body was draped with nothing but a towel, water still dripping from his jet-black hair, cropped close and neat. Clearly, he had been disturbed before he had the chance to dry himself. However, his expression revealed no hint of disarray. Even in this circumstance, he exuded an aura of overpowering charisma.

He was not Spencer. He was not Nancy's husband.

Nor was he the old, ugly wild man the media had speculated. Quite the contrary, he was extraordinarily handsome! He was like a polished model from an advertisement, both his physique and appearance so impeccable that it left people breathless.

The water droplets on his body ran down his masculine and striking profile, tracing the firm contours of his chest muscles, outlining his lean waist, highlighting his eight-pack abs, and ultimately vanishing into the mysterious area concealed by the towel...

Click, click, click!

The reporters, struck with awe and surprise, pressed their shutters repeatedly, capturing the moment Nancy leaned into the man's arms. The evidence of infidelity was now irrefutable.

After finding her footing, Nancy frantically broke free from the man's embrace, attempting to seize the cameras from the reporters.

"You can't spread these photos! You're violating my privacy!" she screamed.

Alas, no one would listen to her or respect her plea, especially not the paparazzi. Nancy was in utter disarray, her clothes torn by the two women moments ago. Now, she had to shield her chest with one hand while blocking the cameras with the other.

Facing ten to twenty reporters, how could she fend them off?

In stark contrast, the other man seemed entirely at ease.

Yaacob, seemingly oblivious to the others in the room, calmly walked to the bedside table and began blow-drying his hair as if nothing had happened.

At that moment, someone approached to interview him. "Sir, what's your relationship with Ms. Lawson? Are you aware she's married? What exactly are you to her? Is she a lover, or something more casual?"

The reporter was fishing for a story, intentionally trying to trap him with his words.

Yaacob glanced at the man, not bothering to respond. Just that look alone sent chills down the reporter's spine. His eyes, honed by his occupation, recognized that this man was no ordinary figure. He hastily withdrew his hand, unwilling to provoke him.

As expected, soon after, a squad of bodyguards burst into the room, quickly taking control of the chaotic situation and surrounding the reporters.

"Mr. Getson, how should we handle these people?" the lead bodyguard inquired, bowing respectfully to Yaacob.

Yaacob's command was curt. "Smash the cameras."

Nancy, who had been wrestling with a paparazzo for a camera, was stunned by the sudden development. Then, she watched as the bodyguards swiftly destroyed all the cameras that had captured the photos. Within seconds, the room was cleared of the reporters.

Their training was far superior to ordinary security personnel.

"Don't worry," came the man's deep, pleasant voice from behind her. "Nobody will get to see the photos."

Nancy's spine stiffened, but she did not turn to look at him. Her head throbbed as her mind was numb from the morning's upheaval. Based on the reporters' preparedness, she knew she had been set up.

Spencer had not returned, and she had spent the night with this man instead.

Nancy closed her eyes. She was unwilling to think or look at the man. She had to leave!

As she began to move, Yaacob's voice rang out again, "Are you planning to go out dressing like that?"

Nancy looked down at her torn dress and realized how awkward it would be to leave like this. Furthermore, the reporters might still be nearby, and she could not afford to be seen in this state, especially not by Spencer.

While she was struggling with indecision, Yaacob had already called for room service. "Get me a set of women's clothing for someone about 169cm tall. Also, a size 95 bra."

His assurance, his authority… Everything about him was wrapped in mystery. As Nancy stood there, still in shock from the unexpected turn of events, she could not help but wonder who this mysterious and handsome stranger was, and what he wanted from her.
