Chapter 4 Rich in More Ways Than One

Yaacob still had a vivid memory of the previous night's intimacy. It would seem that he had torn a strap of her lingerie.

Upon hearing this, Nancy could not help but turn around to correct him, saying, "My size isn't 95! I usually wear a 90."

Yaacob glanced at her, not intending to correct his statement, and ended the call.

But there was something in his deep, alluring gaze that held great insight. Nancy felt as though she had been seen through.

Instead of her words, Yaacob had more trust in the precise measurements of his own hands.

Why would a woman want to report a smaller bust size and deliberately wear a size smaller, constraining herself? Was she perhaps fearful that others might discover her excellent figure?

The seven-star hotel's service was indeed excellent. In less than ten minutes, they delivered a set of new spring-summer dresses from a famous brand. Of course, that included the lingerie.

Nancy saw that all the items, from underwear to coat, were in shades of red. The dress, in particular, had a V-neck and bare back that was rather sensual. She frowned slightly, not quite satisfied.

"This color suits you well!" Yaacob said, noticing her slight displeasure.

Nancy did not respond. Instead, she took the clothes and went into the bathroom to change.

It was just six months ago when she was the hot young diva of the music circle. Nancy's fans would have known she never wore bright-colored clothing.

She favored white and would never choose something that revealed too much skin.

Nancy's voice and figure were second to none. Discovered at 14, Nancy was once the youngest singer in the country. Highly talented, she wrote her own lyrics and tunes and had won every award in the music scene before turning eighteen.

Possibly because of her early entrance into entertainment, Nancy's development was also precocious. Her stunning figure matured early, and adulthood only further boosted her allure.

Some had attacked her for this, saying she looked like a sly vixen, not a serious person at all, certainly not a match for the handsome and refined Mr. Shaw.

Thus, she never wore short skirts in public and never flaunted her figure. She wore plain, long dresses, and though criticized for her long hair, never changed her style.

She cared only about how Spencer saw her. Everything she did was just to catch his eye.

But today was different, and she could only wear the clothes that were given to her.

After getting dressed, Nancy left the hotel in Yaacob's car.

Before she got in the car, she took note of the license plate—A11111. It must have cost a fortune.

However, having accompanied Spencer to various high-society gatherings, how had she never heard of this man?

As they drove, the man beside her suddenly handed his phone to Nancy while she was deep in thoughts.

"Your contact information?" Yaacob asked succinctly.

Was he... asking for her phone number?

At 21, with more than six years in the entertainment industry, Nancy was no stranger to men's intentions. She could tell what a man was up to just by their gaze alone.

This man had dealt with the reporters for her, bought her clothes, and was now taking her home.

He was probably interested in her and wanted to further pursue her.
