Caleb’s POV

I turned to leave the cabin as Charlie stumbled over the stool and fell face-first onto the ground. “I will return soon” I murmured to him even though he was already snoring. Shutting the door behind me I stood outside the cabin breathing heavily as my head spun from the last few hour's occurrences.

Beside the small cabin was a down pine tree I had come here weeks ago and carved a little bench into. This cabin has been a haven for me since childhood, my father being the unpleasant man he was made living with him an absolute nightmare.

Even though I was to be next in line for alpha he always treated me as a weak little tag along. Never introduced me to the elders or business partners even though I would plant each evil seed in his head to help him keep our pack afloat. Always pushed me to the side, especially after what he did to my mother…
