I followed them on the chariot to the castle. Some guards were waiting there too. It seemed like the whole palace was expecting us. I gulped hard, realizing that we had drawn more attention to ourselves than expected.
A man came out from the castle and walked down the stairs gently. He was the king. I got down from the horse and opened the chariot, and Mother walked out with Solomon. She looked completely startled too.
"You wanted to blend in. Here you go, Lady Victoria, I said in my mind.
"Watch your tongue, Desmond. Do not forget I was the one that conceived you! She replied ruthlessly.
I chuckled slowly.
"Lady Victoria!" The king exclaimed as he came.
