Chapter 12

Emily blinked as a ray of sunlight shone directly into her eyes from the window blinds. Beside her, Jason was still asleep and hugging her.

All the things that happened are not a dream.

Even though her whole body felt broken, she was happy. Jason didn't look as busy as usual because of the call and Tamara's arrival. All his attitude means he wants to build a real marriage with Emily, as he said before.

Emily got up slowly and headed to the kitchen to prepare food for breakfast for the both of them.

Jason had suggested they could have a maid, but Emily had refused. She can still do everything, like at Charles and Emma's house. Even though she is also busy with her job as a manager, she believes she can still carry out her obligations as a wife.
