Erebus had never thought about that question until now.

She was always there, before he knew she liked him, before he marked Kitty, even before he became her alpha.

She was so ordinary and so close to him that he never even saw her, or, noticed her as a woman.

She was just his Dim Patronus, his loyal guard, his... his what?

Erebus had never thought about giving her a title because it was just so natural to rely on her. She would take care of all his needs, even before he demands; she would know his thoughts without him voicing them; she would feel his mood, before anyone else.

She was like his shadow, always there and always loyal, but just like a shadow, she doesn't exist in his eyes.

So why would he be so upset hearing about her death? Why did it feel like the whole world fell darker when he thought she was forever lost from his world?
