The next morning, during lunchtime, Henry appeared in the hospital room once again.

Knowing him well, I understood that he wouldn’t willingly come to the hospital every day.

It was highly likely that he was just here to fulfill an obligation.

Jethro followed behind him.

Jethro respectfully placed a thermos on the small table in front of me, and I thanked him politely.

Henry took a seat on the chair by the bedside, crossing his left leg over his right, and watched me with an amused expression.

Under his gaze, I silently ate my meal. About halfway through, he suddenly asked, "Are you sticking to what you said earlier?"

I paused with my chopsticks in hand and looked up at him in silence. "Divorce?"

I quietly looked at Henry and asked, "Are you serious?"

Henry laughed contemptuously and said, "Of course."

"Alright, divorce..."

I didn't ask Henry why he had suddenly changed his mind.

I knew it was because he had grown strong enough and no longer needed me.
