Chapter 2 A Premature Delivery

There were sounds of ripping fabric when Bo Yan tore apart her loose maternity dress.

Cold air surrounded her exposed skin in an instant...

"Don't touch me!"

Shrilling, Shen Zhiwei tried to push Bo Yan away, his image reflected in her clear eyes.

"Bo Yan, I'm pregnant..."

"Don't you keep following me everywhere just because you want me to f**k you? I'll satisfy you right now, Mrs. Fu!"

He almost said the last sentence through his teeth, a note of bitter hatred in his voice.

"You..."

Shen Zhiwei cried out in pain and failed to finish her words. She felt as though an invisible hand was tearing at her between her legs. Her face was pale in pain and her forehead was covered in sweat.

She could barely hold her swollen belly when she grabbed Bo Yan by his sleeves and begged him with pleading eyes.

"My... stomach really hurts... Call the doctor... please..."

"Hmph, I'm really impressed by your acting skill!"

His mocking voice rang out from above her head.

He separated her legs, his eyes bloodshot.

He entered her with great strength, without giving her any time to get ready...

Shen Zhiwei heard herself let out a miserable cry.

She trembled and heard no sound for a moment. Then, the gripping pain in her belly engulfed her.

She felt gushes of warm fluids flowing beneath her...

Her assumed look of composure disappeared at that instant.

"Bo Yan, our baby..."

"Because of you, your sister is now lying dead at the bottom of the sea. How could you feel no guilt to have your own child?"

Bo Yan forcefully buried her face into the sofa, as if looking at her face made him disgusted.

Shen Zhiwei's face became contorted under his palm, yet he poked her even harder into the deepest part of her body...

She was rendered dizzy by his movements, and she felt as though her body had been torn to pieces.

She knew that he detested her, but she had never thought that he could be so ruthless as to hurt their child.

There was a strong smell of blood in the room...

When he smelled it, he stopped thrusting and looked down between her legs, only to see a large patch of the sofa stained with blood...

Shen Zhiwei was bleeding heavily.

Silence; the room was in dead silence.

Everyone present was shocked by the bizarre atmosphere.

Bo Yan could feel his pulse in his throbbing temples. The woman standing next to him was dumbfounded as well.

"Young... Master Bo, Mrs. Fu..." she stammered.

"Call the doctor!"

Bo Yan interrupted her coldly. His eyes darkened, and he could not help cursing before he pulled out from her body.

The sofa beneath her turned red with blood. Her pale lips kept twitching, and everything blurred in front of her.

She fainted due to the heavy bleeding...

Several minutes later, a doctor in a white coat hurried in with a medical kit in his hands.

Seeing the doctor, Bo Yan immediately ordered him in an emotionless tone without taking any look at Shen Zhiwei, "Check to see if the baby died or not. If not, cut her abdomen open and take the baby out."

...

The doctor widened his eyes in shock and disbelief.

Bo Yan's eyes turned even more chilling at the moment.

The doctor shivered and immediately got ready to give Shen Zhiwei a cesarean operation.

However, just as the doctor tried to anesthetize her, Bo Yan stopped him.

The sharp scalpel cut her belly open, which made her feel as if she were a sheep being slaughtered.

The splitting pain spread from her abdomen to her whole body. For the first time, she tasted the feeling of being in so much pain that she wanted to die, and learned how hardhearted a man could be.

She gazed at Bo Yan with bulging eyes and begged him. "You're the child's father. Bo Yan, I beg you not..."

"Beg me? Why didn't you let Rou off when she begged you?!"

...

Bo Yan leaned to grip her by the jaw, and there was a look of hatred in his eyes as he said, "Take your time and enjoy it. After all, you're much luckier than Rou, who died without anything left. Be careful not to struggle, or the doctor may stab into your son's heart by mistake..."

"Ahh—"

Shen Zhiwei clenched her dress in sharp pain, and blood streamed down from her lips, which she had sunk her teeth into.

With bloodshot eyes, her miserable screams resounded through the room, and she felt as if something had been taken away from the inside of her body.

It was her child, whom she had dreamed of a hundred times...

She had even thought that Bo Yan would change his attitude after they had a baby. But now, she realized that that idea was so ridiculous.

She managed not to struggle despite the pain, but she could not help twitching all over as the pain intensified. She cried out in a tone of ressentiment, "Bo Yan, even the most vicious tiger would not hurt its cubs, and you're more vicious than a tiger to hurt your own son! You'll get punished for what you did!"

She passed out in pain on the floor, and soon woke up in pain again.

It happened again and again...

In the end, despite herself, she did not know how many times she had passed out. Bloodstains covered the floor, as bright as red wintersweet flowers.

Bo Yan swallowed as he saw the blood. He felt moved with a trace of sympathy in his eyes...

Nevertheless, as the thought came to him that Shen Rou was lying alone at the bottom of the cold sea, his eyes became as grim as before.

"She brought it all upon herself," he thought.

Shen Zhiwei heard the doctor say that the operation was done when she was about to lose consciousness.

She let out a sigh of relief, looking as if it had taken all her strength. She then vaguely heard Bo Yan's mobile phone ring.

He picked it up with a frown.

She did not know what he heard, but she saw his expression change all of a sudden.

He looked as though he had been struck by lightning, and his voice quivered as he spoke.

She could not hear him clearly but thought that he possibly was saying—

"Repeat that. Who isn't dead?"
