Chapter_2

Manik opened his room door and entered inside his lavish room. He walked on the expensive marble floor and walked towards wall size glass window which was parting the room into two portions. He closed the wooden door of the balcony and then went towards his king size bed and comfortably sat on it. There was a big picture of him was hanging upon the headboard of his bed. In left side there was a big potrait of him with a big shelf made of glass which was totally occupied by his trophies, meddles and certificates giving it a very rich and classy look. His right side wall is occupied with his family pictures and a big couch before it with glass table and finally main wall in front of the bad was having a full wall size black velvety curtains and at middle there was a big LED screen. 

His room interiors are shouting richness and soft colour is showing how peaceful and calm nature he likes. 

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and manik walked forward and open the door and found kabir. Although kabir was muslim but adopted by journal ashok malhotra because his parents died when he was very little. Mr. Ashok malhotra and mrs. Amrita malhotra take care of him and give him love, support and mostly his brother for whom he can give his life. 

" So major kabir malhotra is finally here. " Manik said and hugged him instantly. 

" Yeah finally i am here after one year. You know finally our brigadier sir accept my request and send me here for completing our mission." Kabir said taking a deep breath while hugging manik back. 

" My kabir the good news is finally you will stay with us. You know ma used to cry remembering you. Finally our whole family will be together again." Manik said broking the hug. 

" Come manik, i didn't meet ma because firstly i want to meet you. Come let's have some family time before your felicitation ceremony. Finally our manik malhotra killed the most dangerous terrorist. I am so proud of you. "Kabir said and manik grinned and they both went to meet amrita and ashok. Looking at kabir, mukti just jump on him in happiness and cried hugging him. 

" Don't worry my cry baby. I am here till my mission got complete and after that i will join army head quarters in mumbai after taking a permanent transfer. " Kabir said and amrita hugged him and ashok look at his family with a big smile on his face. He was a proud father of manik who is an IPS OFFICER of mumbai and kabir WHO IS AN ARMY OFFICER. 

" Bhai finally you came so help me to choose a dress for me. My brother is going to be honoured with bravery award. I have to look good. " Kabir burst into laughter where manik just rolled his eyes. 

After some time all of them went to the ceremony and manik malhotra get the bravery award and his family was looking very proud. His senior tried to introduce him to their daughters who were trying to flaunt themselves. Manik was least intrested in them and trying to maintain a good distance because they were flirting with kabir as well. The ceremony went well and after attending the ceremony malhotra come back to their villa. 

After having a good chatting session finally amrita started the topic of marriage and kabir and manik look at each other with shocked face. 

" Ma i don't want to get married because i think my life doesn't approved me to do so. " Kabir said and amrita frowned. Mukti was silent knowing her brothers. Ashok knew his sons and their choice, so he also stay quite knowing his sons will find their perfact match. 

" What do you mean kabir?? You are an army officer but my son also. I also want to see you happy with someone having your family. " Amrita said a bit emotionally and manik got up from his place unknowingly and went to his room silently as well as sadly. 

Amrita got sad watching manik but kabir squeeze her hand and give her a assuring smile which she reciprocate but she was sad. 

" Ma believe me one day he will himself tell you why he don't want to marry anyone and i promise i will marry the one you'll search. " Kabir said and went to kitchen and prepare coffe for himself and his brother. 

He poured coffee in two mugs and went inside his room and found him staring at the moon blankly who was shinning in the dark night. 

" Manik forget her. It's been 10 years. I know you have fallen for her in such a short time but manik why are you even waiting. You know na she don't even know that you exist in this world then how can you wait for her." Kabir yelled at manik but manik just give him a faint smile and sipped his coffee after taking the cup from his hand. 

" I know kabir that it's been 10 years but she is still alive in my heart. I still love her like i used to do before 10 years and when i saw her first time i have decided that only she'll be in my life. I know that time she was a child and not even teenage if she'll not be my wife then i won't marry because i only love her. "Manik reasoned but kabir was annoyed. 

" Manik we have our mother who wants to see us happy with our family. Do you know how hurtful it is for her to see you like this. I know you love her but don't you think you should move on." Kabir utter with almost gritted teeth. 

" Kabir don't know whether am doing right or not but i won't marry anyone beside her. " Manik said and went back to his room. Kabir close his eyes accepting his defeat before manik. He has to accept that manik is head over heels in love with that innocent girl. That time she was in 8th class when manik was the head boy of the school. They both have don't any clue where she must have been. It's been 10 years since they both separate but manik is still in so much love with her.

Delhi

Nandini and navya were preparing for dinner. They were happy as well as sad for leaving their parents for almost 9 months. Nandini was chopping the vegitables and navya was kneading the dough. They were almost done when they heard the door bell ring. Nandini clean the kitchen as per her mother's constructions and went to open the door and found her parents there. She wished them while navya prepare evening tea for them. 

" Nandini and navya today i am gonna make dinner for all of us. So tell me what you want to eat. " Pragati said in cheerful voice sipping her tea. 

" No mumma it's fine we both will prepare, you don't have to worry you must be tired na. " Navya said and pragati pecked her forehead. 

" I know my baby, you both are learning the house hold work but it's been 3 months since i made anything so it's final today i will prepare dinner. " Pragati announced and navya and nandini smile. 

After some time navya arrange the table and pragati and nandini came with paneer butter masala with butter nan. Nandini prepare their favorite dessert ( vermicelli milk pudding) and navya gulped down watching such mouth water food. 

" Mumma no matter how much tasty food we cook but before your food skills our food is nothing. " Navya commented and all of them laugh. 

All of them had their dinner with lots of chit chat and laughter. Nandini was feeling a little bit emotional because they are going for 9 months but somewhere she knew her parents won't say no to her decision but still they had to elude from their parents. Eating dinner from her mother's hands was making her emotional. She was trying to hold back her tears but navya hold her hand and squeeze it giving her assurance. 

After having dinner they both keep the milk in their parents room and entered their room with big cups of milk. 

" Hey so finally we are leaving so tell me which clothes should i pack or i should pack my indian wears or western. " Navya said in excited tone which made nandini laughed. 

" There you don't need any indian or western dresses because we are gonna roam there in our uniform which they will allot to us. So just keep some night dresses for yourself. " Nandini said while checking her purse and cards. 

" Noooo, this is totally torture. I can't stay in one pair of clothes day and night. My beauty needs some beautiful colours and designer clothes i am not coming with you nandu,Who will marry me if my skin got dull. I can't stay in prison nandu. " She yelled and then cried at last. 

" We don't have any time. Ok keep your two designer dresses in bag and pack you bag right now. We have to take the bus in morning at 5.00 am. " Nandini said while stuffing things in one bag. 

Navya make faces and pack her bag. 

" Nandu i am coming with you but you have to promise if handsome boys deny to marry me then you will get me married to your brother-in-law." Navya said and laugh, nandini blushed a little. 

" Navya shut up nothing will happened, it's only about 9 months. Stop your drama." 

Navya and nandini just look at the moon from nearby window and admire it. Their room is small with a queen size bed. Wall is painted with pink colours and there was a study table in the corner. Left wall was having their family pictures with their trophies and right wall was having a LCD. 

" From tomorrow on we would be having a different life. " Nandini inhaled the fresh air deeply. 

" Don't know why but i am having good vibes like our this journey would change our life for ever. " Navya joined nandini.
