Chapter 41: He Hates Her

It's like fate is really testing us. A few weeks have passed and Luke and I have been busy at work.

Leaving the house without even getting to play with the twins and often they are still asleep when Luke or I leave. I will come at night when the twins are already tired and asleep.

Lucia has been excited to go for a walk a few times but Luke and I only made promises, while Lucas wanted to go to the National Book Store which we also couldn't grant.

I won't be surprised if the twins feel sullen because of our busyness at work.

I sat on the sofa in the living room before resting my head and looking up. Silence enveloped the whole house.

A few minutes later, I heard a car parked outside and Nanny Josefa was the first to enter, followed by the twins.

"Mommy!" Lucia shouted.

I waited for Lucas to see if he would come but he didn't. He just looked at me before going up the stairs and for sure he went to his room.

"Look at this mom." I looked at what she was teaching. She has five stars on her
