Selena left the cafe as soon as her shift ended. Usually, she would take overtime for extra pay, but not that day. She needed to see Xander and talk to him immediately. They would be seeing each other at the students' committee meeting later, for sure, but she couldn't wait. She had to tell him as soon as possible that next Friday was set for her date with Axis.
She looked for him all over the campus. She went to the basketball court, the students' committee room, 3A's classroom, and even at the infirmary but there was no sign of him. There is one last place she hasn’t checked, the rooftop.
She was about to go upstairs when someone suddenly called her. "Selena? Anong ginagawa mo d'yan?"
She turned her head and found Sharmaine. "Ikaw pala. Kasi meron lang sana akong kakausaping tao." She answered.
Kringle moved her chair closer to the table and rested her chin on her palms, as if a child listening to her granny's story. This time, Lucy ignored her. She's as interested in what Selena will tell as her friend was. Selena reminded her friends about the payment Alexander was asking in exchange for saving her the other day. She told them everything they had talked about last night. "Hindi ka rin naman swerte 'no, bestie. Akalain mo bang yayain ka ng dalawang gwapong nilalang makipag-date sa kanila. At sa parehong araw pa," Kringle reacted. “Hindi ‘yun date,” she corrected. "At 'yun nga ang problema, eh. Sabay na araw pa. Kanino ngayon ako sasama?" Selena asked, pouting. "E'di sa unang nagyaya," Kringle replied, grinning and raising her brows up and down.
Selena and her friends were on their way to their classroom. They were chit-chatting happily when someone caught their attention."Psst. Selena. Tignan mo 'yun, oh," Kringle said as she pointed to the boy standing by the wall. "Si Prince Charming ba 'yun o si Knight-in-shining-armor?" She asked.Selena looked towards the direction Kringle was pointing to, identifying in her head who it was.Sharmaine tilted her head to the side. "Anong 'prince' at 'knight' pinagsasasabi mo d'yan?" She asked."Ah. Wala lang naman. Binigyan ko lang ng nicknames ang mga lalaki sa buhay ni Selena," Kringle answered, grinning.Lucy raised her brows at Kringle. "Eh, sino nga si 'prince' at sino si 'knight'?"
Selena swiftly gathered her things when their classes ended. She wanted to return to her dormitory immediately. "Maine, pwede bang ikaw muna pumunta sa SC meeting?" She asked as she turned to her friend. Sharmaine shook her head. "Tatapusin ko pa 'yung report natin." Kringle scratched her head. "Eh? 'Di ba sabi mo tapos mo na 'yun?" "Written report pa lang 'yung natatapos ko. Gagawa pa ako nung powerpoint," Sharmaine answered, fixing her glasses into place. Selena sighed. She had no other choice but to attend the meeting herself. "Bakit parang ayaw mo yatang pumunta sa meeting? May problema ba?" Lucy asked, crossing her arms. Selena scratched
The school bell rang again, ending today's club activities. Lucy gathered her things and walked to their homeroom. She and Kringle agreed to wait for Selena and go home together. As Lucy walked back to the classroom, she came across a familiar someone. She decided to ignore her but the latter wanted the opposite. "Lucille Rivera," the girl called her as they met along the hallway. "Can we talk?" She asked. Lucy stopped from walking and faced her. She couldn’t believe that this girl was really talking to her. Curious about what this girl wanted, she then decided to listen to her. "Marga Castillejo," Lucy said the girl's name with some hint of fake enthusiasm in her voice. "Ano naman kayang masamang hangin ang nagtulak sa'yo para kausapin ako?"
Wynnford is emitting a serious vibe. Preliminary examinations are coming soon, with long quizzes before that, and everyone's doing their best to pass the upcoming tests. Selena decided to be at school earlier, since Ms. Jean made her have a beauty rest for her date, though the date is still days away. Even thinking of this makes her blush. She pushed away the thought out of her head and focused on reviewing for tests. But before anything else, she had to drop by the SC office to submit updates of their preparations for the mini fest. On her way to the SC room, she bumped into someone which made her things fall on the floor. "Sorry!" Selena and the boy he bumped into said in unison. He immediately helped gather her things. "Sorry ulit," he apologized again as they fini
Alexander was looking outside, sitting on his chair, not minding anybody as usual. He's ignoring everyone but his girl classmates were talking so loud that he caught what they were talking about. “...transferee sa 3B.” Hearing the class section, he decided to tune in to their conversation. “Nakakaloka talaga 'tong school natin. Simula na ng semester, tumatanggap pa ng bagong 'studyante.” “Kaya nga eh. Baka naman kasi VIP 'yun kaya pinayagang late mag-enroll.” "Anak siguro ng isang malaking kumpanya." "Baka naman anak ng pulitiko?" The girls giggled at their loud thoughts. Alexander rolled his eyes. The girls were onl
Lucy opened her textbook as she sat on her desk. After leaving the class earlier without telling her friends why, she went home and talked to her father. She had to consult him about what's bothering her or else, she won’t be able to do what she should. Her phone vibrated. She looked at the phone screen and rolled her eyes. She has no idea why Marga’s bothering her this time of the night. She answered her phone and put it on loudspeaker. Marga didn’t waste any second and said, “You have three days to stop Selena from going out with Alexis and Alexander, or else she’ll have a miserable college life.” She snorted. “I don’t think you can actually do that, Marga. You’re all words. You cannot stop her from being close to the twins. Besides, ‘yung dalawa mismo ang gustong mapalapit kay Selena.”
Club activities were shortened in preparation for the upcoming quizzes by the end of the week. The students were flooding the library and nearby cafés. It was a good thing that Selena had reserved a table at Mocafé for them. She asked Jean permission for them to have their study session there, to which her manager approved. Selena served them iced coffee and cakes. “Help yourselves, guys. It’s ‘on the house’,” she said, then sat on the seat beside Kringle. Each of them took their drinks. “Wow. Makapagsabi ng ‘on the house’. Ikaw may-ari nito?” Kringle commented. Lucy coughed and almost spat her drink.
