Selena saw the look on his face. He was smiling but his eyes were telling the opposite. That ‘Andeng’ must have been someone special to Alexis.
She was itching to know more of this girl which made Alexis look sad. But she couldn’t bring herself to ask him. An awkward silence came between them. She was so glad when Aling Lita came out, bringing their food.
“Ito na!” Aling Lita exclaimed. She was carrying a tray containing two bowls of hot sinigang na baboy. She removed the bowls from the tray and placed each in front of her and Alexis.
Her eyes glittered, her mouth started to water, and her stomach grumbled. The food in front of her looked very appetizing.
