Chapter 2

Meanwhile earlier that day Nicholas had left Daria without a proper goodbye, he had received a message from Antonia informing him of his clients arrival plus he loved the suspense between them.

"Do we have an upcoming project tomorrow?" Nicholas asked as he entered Antonia's office which he rarely did, "I don't know sir" she fumbled, he cheeks became red", 

"check" he commanded. Antonia scribbled on her keypad "yes, the Jones merger" she replied.

"Who is handling it?" Nicholas asked again. "It's the contract Manager, they have a meeting tomorrow".

 "Transfer the deal to me" he commanded, walking away leaving Antonia confused.

The next morning Daria got up early and went for her morning run, she had run a few miles when she spotted Nicholas also in his gym wear cutting into the street she was running. 

Daria sped up and tried to catch up with him, but as she was about to reach him another woman came up to him and two of them ran together.

They were flirty with each other and shared a hug separating their part. Daria stopped in her tracks and walked back slowly 'there is no need to thank him' she convinced herself and continued her run.

Daria ran only 14m and spotted Nicholas again this time around with another woman, she immediately got irritated she quickly walked up to him and began to reprimand him.

 "You are so disgusting," Daria screamed, drawing attention towards them. 

Nicholas frowned on hearing her, "are you playing them" she continued drawing more attention towards them. 

"Hold on miss" his bodyguard who was in hiding stepped out towards her, Nicholas gestured for him to stop.

"Hey, Daria" Nicholas replied calmly but Daria frowned disgustingly "don't call my name you two timer" she said shoving away the pleasantries. 

"I can't believe I actually wanted to thank you" she continued her face contorted with disgust.

"I don't understand" Nicholas stared at her confused. Daria raised her arms stopping him "thank you for helping me out earlier, but I never want to see you again" she said storming away leaving Nicholas and everyone around confused and some amused by the scene.

Nicholas let her go to prevent causing a bigger scene, he decided to return home and get ready for his day instead.

Daria ran back home angry, and bumped into her brother, scattering the papers he held on the floor 

"hey!!" He exclaimed. "I'm sorry I didn't see you there" Daria apologized picking up the papers from the floor, Adi bent over and helped her pick them.

"You seem angry" a he asked concerned, "I ran into a scumbag" she replied causing his brows to knit together

 "but he is taken care of, don't worry" she quickly added. "What do you mean, it's okay?" "Did he try to hurt you?" he began checking her arms. 

"I'm fine, it wasn't to me, someone else" she assured. "Be careful" he said, glancing at his watch "I am late, my clients will be here soon" he rushed off waving Daria goodbye. 

Quickly she remembered she also had a meeting and ran up to her room to get ready.

Few minutes later Daria stood in front of her mirror scrutinizing her look, she wore a black corporate pants and a dark blue blazer with a black sleeveless ruffled top underneath,

 her hair was straightened out flowing to her waist. Her blue six inch heel sparkled in the light, taking a deep breath she headed out and found her father leaving as well.

"You look so beautiful" Jacob said lovingly as he gazed at his daughter, and the memory of his wife flashed in his mind. 

Daria gave him a warm smile as she approached him "thanks Dad".

"Shall we?" He offered his hand to her, letting out a soft giggle Daria took his hand and they both got into the car already waiting for them.

Daria walked into her office complex, alongside her father. They were both greeted by the workers but quickly separated when Daria was approached by the staff. 

"Good morning ma'am, the meeting begins in an hour, would you like to go over it again?" Sarah greeted, informing her of the meeting time.

"Yes, gather everyone at the meeting room, I'll be there shortly" Daria instructed. "That's all for now, please everyone we need to be at our best behavior and re read through the file we need this contract to place our name on the business map" Daria concluded addressing her team sitting in front of her.

They all nodded in affirmation, the double doors to the meeting room opened up and they all stood up to welcome their clients. 

Daria welcomed them with a warm smile but the smile disappeared and her face turned pale when she spotted a familiar face among them.

Nicholas walked into the room, his face hardened, his aura enveloped the room, all eyes were on him. There was no doubt that he was the head as his team made way for him. 

His eyes searched the room until it spotted Daria standing in front of the table and a smile curled up his lips.

This didn't go unnoticed as Antonia noticed the smile on his face as he looked at Daria. 

Everyone sat at their designated sits and the meeting began, but Daria felt her heart race a thousand miles and small beads of sweat began to form on her forehead 

She couldn't believe her eyes, he was seated in front of her 'what the hell was he doing here and why is he seated at the head chair' Daria peered at him. 

This also doesn't go unnoticed as Antonia watched the two of them stare at each other.

Daria suppressed her emotions and began explaining. She got distracted when she noticed the growing smile on Nicholas' lips as he watched her and she wanted nothing but to snack it off his face. 

Due to the distraction Daria makes a mistake, "I am sorry, I will excuse me.." she apologized "my assistant will continue from here.

Quickly she walked out, with Nicholas in tail. Daria ran into her office bathroom and glared at the mirror, taking deep breaths she rearranged her blazer and headed out. 

"Are you okay?" Nicholas asked, startling her. "Ahh" she cried out placing her palm on her chest 

Daria turned to look at him "you, why are you here?" She asked angrily, pointing her fingers at him.

 "Relax I mean no harm" he replied raising his hands, "just want to check if you okay, you look disturbed" tucking his hands into his pocket he brought out his handkerchief and offered it to her.

"No thank you" Daria avoided his hand and went to her table to collect a paper towel and wiped her face. 

"Why and how are you here?" she asked, glaring at him, her hands on the table as she leaned forward.

"I am here for the project" he replied with a look "isn't that obvious". "I am in charge of this project, and I decide if you get the contract or not" Nicholas continued as he took the seat in front of her. 

Daria's eyes widened "what do you mean by that?". "I am saying that I will decide if you guys get the contract, but there is one problem".

" What is that?" Daria asked "You.....you humiliated me earlier today and you haven't apologized for it" Nicholas replied nonchalantly. 

"I would never apologize" Daria snapped back at him "you are playing two women and I will never stand for that" she continued sternly "if we lose the contract, we will get another one elsewhere" she stated confidently.

Nicholas laughed lightly but immediately his smile disappeared, he got to his feet and approached Daria slowly 

"What are you doing, stay back?" Daria warned, turning weary but he didn't stop until he was standing only a few inches from her.

"Why exactly do you think I am cheating" Nicholas asked his voice suddenly husky and low as he gripped her eyes in with his, slowly 

Daria's heart began to race again, they were so close that the heat began to burn up her cheeks, she could feel his hot breath brush by her face, she was unable to respond.

"Here's the thing" he started placing his left hand on the table and leaned forward, and Daria leaned back without breaking eye contact. 

"I have read your file and it's great" "but you will only get this contract if you agree to my conditions". 

"What conditions?" Daria fumbled with her words. Her response made him smile again, "you will do whatever I say" he replied as her breath hitched 

"But I won't tell you now, it will be later," he added, stepping away from her.

Daria broke out off the eye contact, "I will not" she said quietly "I can't do that, who knows what you will make me do" she continued

 "I am sorry but if you will not accept the deal, because of my hard work then I won't take it another way" Daria stated proudly causing Nicholas to raise a brow. 

"It was really nice meeting you miss Daria, but I know this won't be the last time" Nicholas smirked as he walked away. 

Daria took heavy breaths. She felt like her lungs had not received air, so she placed her hands in her chest to calm her heart.

She gathered herself together and went to the meeting room, and as expected the contract signing was put on an indefinite decision. 

Daria arrived home late that night from work everyone was sad, this was a huge deal that they just lost.

In a bid to cheer herself up Daria drove to a bar dressed in a green party dress tied up, she walked to the bartender and sat down to order drinks. 

Daria drank two bottles and was becoming tipsy when she felt a hand on her thigh. 

"Hey sweet girl, wanna dance" another drunk man who was slowly watching Daria since she arrived and waited for her to get drunk. "No" Daria rejected, removing his hands from her thigh. 

"Why baby girl come on just one dance" he persisted "I said no" Daria shoved him aside and walked to the other side of the bar with her drink in hand.

But the man followed her, dancing behind her "your gonna have fun with me" he whispered into her ears while rubbing his hands on her shoulder as she gulped down her drink and yelled at him

 "I said back off" she said irritated "and don't touch me" she continued and attempted to walk away but he gripped her by the arm and pulled her out through the back door.

Daria struggled to lose his grip but he held on too strong, she looked round for help but no one was in sight.

 The man pulled her to his car and was about to shove her in and suddenly felt an extra cold grip on his hand.

 Cold chills ran down his spine, "let her go" Nicholas commanded his voice laced with danger.

"Back off she's my girl she's just drunk" the man replied, tightening his grip on Daria who was slowly slipping into an unconscious state. 

Nicholas landed a blow on the man's jaw, almost dislocating it, the man grunted in pain as held his nose whilst taking his hands of Daria. 

Nicholas landed another blow on him, the man grunted in pain again as he crouched to the ground, his nose busted and his jaw completely dislocated. 

Nicholas was about to hit him again, when Daria cried out. Nicholas immediately grabbed Daria and slowly she passed out in his arms.

Nicholas gently lifted her and put her in his car and drove to his penthouse, frequently placing his hand under her nose for her breath. 

Carefully he carried her to his bedroom and placed her on his bed with a duvet. As he got up to leave Daria grabbed his arm "don't leave me, he may come back" she wailed as she removed the duvet, and got to her feet.

Nicholas placed his palm on her cheek, "he is not coming you are safe here" he assured her but Daria was having none of it.

 She began to cry and launched herself onto his body like a koala, straddling him, Nicholas could feel his member twitch as Daria cling unto him. 

"Please take me with you" she pleaded, tightening her grip around his neck. "Okay calm down, I'll stay but you have to come down" Nicholas gave in to her please because he couldn't bear the torture he was going through down there 

Daria slowly let go of him but didn't unclasp her hand from his neck. "You look familiar," Daria said with a change in mood. 

Suddenly she gasped and pulled back. She immediately picked a pillow and threw it at him but he saw it in time and ducked down.

"What heck" Nicholas cursed in bewilderment, "your the two timer" Daria screamed stepping back even more

 "You have two girlfriends and you want to make me the third" she continued as she reached the end of the bed and jumped to the floor.

"What are you talking about?" Nicholas couldn't believe that she still talked about it in her drunk state.

Daria went for the door in an attempt to escape but Nicholas grabbed her just in time “let go of me” she screamed but Nicholas was having none of it he raised her hands above her head with one hand.

“Listen I only want to take care of you” he said trying to calm her down but Daria refused. 

She began to kick and struggle to release herself but his grip was too firm.

“Are you going to hurt me?” She asked, throwing puppy eyes at him, Nicholas gazed  down at her ‘how could somebody be so cute and annoying’ he thought.

“No, I would never hurt you,” he replied, looking into her eyes. “You are so beautiful,” he said, tracing her face with his fingers. 

Daria gulped as his finger trail left Sparks on her skin “do you know that” Nicholas asked, returning his gaze to her eyes.

Slowly Nicholas bent over and placed a light kiss on her lips, his face was close to hers and placed another one this one longer and stronger than the last.

Daria could feel the brain go to mush as his lips landed on hers. Nicholas continued to kiss her lips tracing the edges with the tip of his tongue.

Daria opened her lips allowing his tongue to slip in, Nicholas smiled in between.

Delving into her lips he pulled her face closer, Daria arched her back thrusting her body forward to meet him.

Nicholas could feel his member twitch and begin to rise, immediately he pulled away letting go of her hands. He turned his back to her and took a deep breath.

“Why did you stop, I liked it, your lips taste like berries” Daria grumbled and reached for Nicholas.

“No, you're drunk” Nicholas replied, removing her hands from his back.

Daria continued to pester “kiss me again please” she begged as she placed her lips on his and began to kiss him. 

Nicholas lost himself for a moment taking in the taste of her lips, her soft and delicate taste was intoxicating.

Nicholas broke out again, his eyes beaming in lust “I want you badly, anything time I see I just want to devour in the most pleasurable way” Nicholas locked into her eyes,his pupils dilated into a golden brown hue.

“You drive me crazy, with the way you talk, but I want you only when you want me” he continued lowering his gaze to her lips and that's when she suddenly gagged and threw up on him, soiling both their clothes.
