A TRAGIC DEATH.

"I'm going to go wandering, and it's been two years since my sister's death." Said 10-year-old Benjamin.

His body was tall, and his face looked more grown. Even though he was only a ten-year-old boy, his thoughts were above those of an adult worrying about king Alaric as his adoptive brother.

"You are still only ten years old. It will not be allowed for you to wander around!" answered king Alaric to the younger brother of his childhood sweetheart.

"I have Mikael to accompany me; he is a trained warrior. I want to find mom, so she can explain everything that happened to me! And take responsibility for it!" said Benjamin with great confidence.

"It won't be that easy, Benjamin. You know that mother is the strongest and most stubborn woman. Even her cunning is not easy for me to know if not with the experience I've been through." Said king Alaric honestly.

The palace scheme is worse than anything else. Even husband and wife can kill each other. King Alaric realized this all started with the unreasonable request of his biological mother, the previous queen Clementine, and King Philips, who took advantage of queen Cassia's strong position to strengthen his kingdom.

"I will go anyway, and I beg you to ground my noble sister!" Benjamin immediately knelt before the king, full of hope. "My sister passed away two years ago and has not rested in peace because you preserved her body, I beg of you. This is my last request as the younger brother of the lover you love..." he begged the king.

King Alaric, who sat on his throne, just stared with a tormented look. It had been two years. He tries to forget that Rania is dead, and now Benjamin asks him to bury his lover's body. His heart ached suddenly uncontrollably.

"Ugh!" king Alaric clutched his chest, complaining of the pain he had endured for the past two years.

"My lord!!" the maid there shouted along with the soldiers and the king's aide.

Likewise, Benjamin, who got up, ran towards king Alaric to see if the king's face turned white as paper before losing consciousness.

Rania saw it all, and it had often felt like for almost two years, her spirit had been wandering around following were Benjamin and King Alaric had gone to listen to bitter facts about the queen dowager's conspiracy with the black magicians.

.....

Rania saw king Alaric wake up in the middle of the night. The man got up and staggered towards an underground room. The guard there pointed the spear he was holding towards king Alaric before being surprised to see the figure of king Alaric who came alone in a light nightgown and robe, walking with a pale face.

"Your Highness, sorry for not realizing it was you." Said one of the guards bowing apologetically for directing. Usually, king Alaric would inform them first if they wanted to come to this prison.

"It's okay, open the door immediately!" asked Alaric breathlessly.

He entered to see a woman tied to a chair, with another woman's body in a glass casing. The woman on the chair looked up. That figure was the queen dowager, tortured and healed by healers.

The white witch also gave healing spells and spells to keep the queen dowager from feeling hungry to keep her alive, as requested by the king.

The queen dowager Benjamin is looking for is in prison by king Alaric getting tortured every day. After being tortured, they will give healers to heal her.

"Heh, my beloved son has come to visit me after a long time..." said the queen dowager. No, now that status is no longer attached to her name.

"Have you confessed your sin, mom?" asked Jeremy sitting in the chair he was used to.

"Hohoho... very considerate, my lord. I was just fed to eat by the white magician. It's disgusting, and I need sweets." Cassia replied, looking condescendingly at her adopted son.

But King Alaric didn't answer anymore, and the man preferred to wipe the glass veil that contained his mother's body. True, it turns out that the woman was preserved by her father, who was only found out when the rebellion occurred. A secret room in his father's former office opened accidentally because he found the room, and he realized that his nature was similar to that of king Philips Gustaf II.

"You are indeed Philips' biological son, Alaric. Very identical without any traits being removed. Is Benjamin looking for me?" asked Cassia at the end of the sentence after reproaching king Alaric.

Rania saw Queen dowager Clementine's presumed dead body, so the body that was buried at that time was just an empty casket. King Philips fooled all his people, so queen Clementine body is currently being preserved by King Alaric.

Gustaf's descendants have always been obsessed with and unable to accept the death of his lover. That was something everyone knew. Blood is thicker than water. That's a fact. Terrifying!

Rania began to understand one by one the problems that occurred.

The minister and the queen dowager deceived the king. Then the rebellion was started by the black magicians, and then his blood always attracted the attention of monsters because it smelled sweet and addictive.

"You know that, Rania..." Cassia said, but Rania couldn't hear properly.

"What did the queen dowager say?!" Rania came closer to hear more, but her vision faded and blackened.

Rania was still trying to hear, but her eyes were black. Her hands wanted to reach, and when her eyes opened, Rania screamed.

"QUEEN DOWAGER!!" she looked left and right to see a large room that was luxurious and had beautiful things, but the bed looked small for her size. "Where?" Rania was confused."What did the queen dowager say!!"

That feeling of frustration sets in, but then flashbacks of the knife that slashed her throat come back to haunt her. Unknowingly Rania touched her neck and began to feel shortness of breath before all the forgotten memories returned. Her head hurt, and she felt like she was being stabbed.

"Argh!! It's hurt!!" she shouted, calling the maids outside with panicked faces to come in.

"Young ladies!! You realize!! Call a healer right now!! Anyone outside immediately calls a healer!!!"

With that scream, everyone was immediately in a state of panic. Likewise, the two people comforting each other in the room immediately ran to open the door connecting their rooms.

"Rania!! Darling, you're awake! God, how I almost died hearing you fall in the water!!" her mother said, making Rania shake her head, not understanding.

As far as she could remember, she was in a room where queen Cassia was imprisoned by Alaric, intending to come closer to hear the queen dowager's words. But instead, she had a headache, and her whole vision was blurry and black. Now she was in front of her mother.

"Mom!! You're here?!!" Rania looked even more surprised than her mother, her face was white, and her beautiful eyes trembled with shock. "Mom!! it's real?!!!" I heard the sound of sobbing. Rania hugged her mother tighter.
