Hate her

I hate her

After Alex had left, Rachael stood there dumbstruck, so he was her neighbor her mother had talked about, did she know that Alex lived here beforehand, no that shouldn't be, she thought as she finally sighed before she closed the door and entered the house.

"Aunt! Aunt!, why did you send me to the next house when you know that its inhabitant is a female of my age, you know that I hate all girls" Alex yelled at his aunt when he got back inside.

His aunt just looked at him before totally ignoring him.

Seeing his aunt ignoring him he stomped upstairs to his room.

His aunt just shook her head as she watched him going into his room, Alex was not like that in the past, he was a kind person, he usually treats everyone was the love and care but after the incident, he had become cold towards everybody especially the opposite gender, the only ones he was not cold to was were the people that were close to him.

Alex lay down on his bed staring at his ceiling, his mind drifting to the matters of the past, he remembered how much he had loved Lydia, shown her love, care, attention, and everything a girl would ask for, but in the end, what did she do to him, she broke his heart by cheating in him with James, he had tried to ask her the reasons behind her action but got no reply from her.

Since then he had sworn never to fall in love again, and he generally hated all girls, as his heart gradually became cold and icy.

But today when he had laid his eyes on Rachael, that feeling of warmth and affection buried deep down found their way out making him shiver, he had tried to suppress it but to no avail, the only option he had was to ignore her and treat her as a passer-by in his life.

But again when his aunt has asked him to deliver the lunch box to the next house, he had seen her once again, this time the emotions he had managed to suppress made their way out again, but only this time they were stronger, he was unable to suppress them further, although he was able to keep calm and talk indifferently without exposing his chaotic emotions he was still shocked to the bone marrow as to how her house could be directly next to his, he wished he could relocate directly.

Firstly she had become his seatmate, he was naturally unhappy about that, but again she came and also became his next-door neighbor, he felt as if she was a bug following him all around as he concluded "I hate her" he said to himself.

Forcefully suppressing his chaotic emotions he fell asleep as he was thinking about all that had happened in the past.

"Do you think the new girl in our class would be able to make Alex fall for her?" Eric asked Elizabeth Curiously in a low voice, she was the only one in the entire class that had a closer relationship with the new girl.

"I think so, judging from her personality, she seems to be the type of girl Alex likes, but I can't say" Elizabeth also replied in a low voice, they were present in Alex's room as they had come to his house via their daily routine, her house, and Eric's house was only a stone throw to Alex house, so they had the habit of going to each other houses since they were kids, today was their turn to go to Alex house, but unexpectedly he had fallen asleep, although it had never happened before they still decided to wait until he woke up, so they were talking in a low voice.

Alex slowly opened his eyes as he gazed around his room and noticed his two best friends whispering to each other, he did not have the count of time so he did not know how many hours he had been asleep nor did he know how many hours they had been waiting for him to wake up.

Smiling embarrassingly he asked, "how long have you two been waiting for me to wake up".

Eric and Elizabeth who hadn't noticed that Alex had woken up looked up in surprise as they replied "not long, about an hour ago or so".

"Why didn't you just wake me up when you came instead of waiting for me to wake up", he asked.

"We didn't wanna disturb you, and it has never happened before, so we thought that it was strange for you to be asleep by this time of the day", Eric replied.

While they were talking the doorbell suddenly rang "Alex, go check who's at the door" his aunt shouted from the kitchen.

"But aunt you are nearer to the door why should I be the one to go check who's at the door" Alex yelled while standing up from his bed preparing to go check who was at the door.

Elizabeth and Eric followed Alex closely while he was going to check who was at the door. On opening the door all the three of them froze in shock.

"Why is it her again," Alex asked himself.

Rachael who was at the door was originally prepared to meet Alex, was also shocked on seeing both Eric and Elizabeth with Alex.

Although she knew that Alex's best friends were the both of them, she still didn't expect them to be at his house at this moment, what did that mean, three of her classmate were staying in the same street and their houses were only a stone throw to each other.

"Look who's here" aunt Maddy came from the kitchen welcoming Rachael to the house and ignoring Alex and his friends who stood in shock by the door.

"Come in dear, " she continued.

Rachael coughed as the three quickly recovered before moving away from her path.

"Rachael, Rachael, what are you doing here," Elizabeth asked curiously as she snapped out of her thoughts.

I came to return this lunch box to Alex's aunt, that's my house" she said and pointed to the house next to Alex.

"So that's where you live what a beautiful surprise" Elizabeth exclaimed.

Rachael then walked towards Alex's aunt before politely saying " ma this is the lunch box thanks for the meal".

"No need to be so polite, you can just call me aunt Maddy" she replied.

On the other side, Elizabeth glared at Alex "why didn't you tell is Rachael was your next-door neighbor" she asked with a questioning look.

Alex could only smile awkwardly as he scratched his head.

"So if she didn't come to your house today we would have never known that she's your neighbor," Elizabeth asked again putting her hands on her hips and looking straight at Alex.

She could not blame Alex for not informing them he had come to hate girls ever since the incident so naturally, he wouldn't tell them about such a thing, but still, she was angry with him.

"By the way, Rachael, do you know Elizabeth somewhere," aunt Maddy asked Rachael on the other side.

"Yes aunt Maddy, am a transfer student in their school, and I happen to be in the same class ad the three of them" Rachael replied.

"No wonder Alex was so mad at her when he came back after she had sent him to the next house it turns out to be his classmate," she thought to herself, "that's nice you guys would be able to go to school together in Alex car", she said loudly for Alex to hear.

"Alex don't forget to pick her up tomorrow on your way to school," his aunt said to Alex before turning around and leaving them all to their selves.

Elizabeth also turned and dragged Rachael upstairs while chatting with her happily leaving the boys to themselves.

Alex and Eric looked at themselves before breaking out into smiles as they made their way back to Alex's room.

"What the hell are you both doing in my too. "Alex yelled when he got into his room and saw both Elizabeth and Rachael in his room chatting happily as if they'd known themselves for a long time.

Naturally, Alex was not referring to why Elizabeth was in his room but was referring to what Rachael was also doing in his room.

Elizabeth turned around and glared at him before totally ignoring him and continued chatting with Rachael.

On seeing Elizabeth ignoring him he went outside bottling the door angrily before going out with Eric, the two didn't return until late at night.

Meanwhile, in the house next to Alex, Rachael watched as Alex made his way into the house sighing silently in her heart.

"Had she fallen in love with this fellow" she could not help but to ask herself this question as her thoughts and emotions were all in a chaotic state, now anytime she saw him her emotions would even become more chaotic, and she felt her heart would burst out of her chest. He was so handsome yet so cold and indifferent towards females, shaking her head she went back into her room lying on the bed as she waited for sleep to come to take her.
