Chapter 18

(Isabella POV)

It has been a week since our first meeting in the cave. Ever since then we meet every day at the same time. We even arranged a meeting in the night on the days I don’t have to shift. Those nights are mostly risky for me since I am sneaking out at the forbidden hour.

But I guess it’s worth the risk. I get to meet Nyx and spend time with him without a fear. He on the other hand was even more attached to me. He looked tired, though. His eyes had dark circles which are much more visible because of his pale skin.

Most days we meet ends up in him falling asleep on my lap hugging me tight around my waist. I couldn’t help but feel so sad for him. He said he is unable to sleep at nights, and in daytime he has duties and training.

The planet is once again peaceful with no sudden attack except for the fights between the soldiers of earth and Zylian. I knew Nyx was the reason for this. He is doing his best to keep calm between his people and mine.
