Chapter 5: Wise decision or stupid?

It didn't take long to get to the signing place, Royal company. Agnes grabbed her briefcase and went inside with Ryan. In the large hall were two rows of staff standing to greet them. The surroundings are beautifully decorated. It can be seen that wherever Ryan Gonzalez goes, he is welcomed there. Agnes sneaked a glance at the man ahead of her, his expression rather calm. Fatigue was cleverly hidden. Eyes with familiar coldness.

“Hi Mr. Gonzalez, it's nice to have you come to our company in person.”

A man in a black suit walked up to him. He is the chief executive officer of the Royal company, Eric Jones. He and Ryan shook hands. Unlike Eric's welcoming laughter, the CEO of Agnes is scary and less talkative. During that discussion, Agnes had to concentrate a lot. She had to take notes while composing documents for her CEO. Ryan's working speed is extremely fast. It seemed to him that a contract was a trivial matter. By noon, the two had left. Eric takes them down to the company lobby. At this point, Ryan stopped walking and said:

“Mr. Jones, bye.”

"See you soon, Mr. Gonzalez."

Eric Jones said with a smile. He regrets not inviting Ryan to stay for lunch with him. It was very difficult for his company to win a contract with HOU. He wants to use this moment to befriend Ryan, but it seems difficult.

Ryan just nodded and turned to walk away. Agnes said hello to Eric and hurriedly chased after her boss. She looked at the tall and stylish figure of the person in front of her and thought to herself, Ryan is such an unapproachable person. He always kept a distant appearance, outside of work, no one expected to chat with him. She was his secretary, who came into contact with him every day and yet was shunned and hated like that. She doesn’t know how will Ryan behave in other relationships. Such as friends, and lovers?

Before Agnes could think deeply about this issue, something happened that made her panic. As she walked to the car, Ryan standing beside her was suddenly dizzy. He wobbled and fell forward. Agnes hastened to help him and anxiously asked:

"Are you okay?"

"What is going on?"

James got out of the car and asked. His face was also very worried. Ryan held his head with one hand and the other against the body of the car. The discomfort from lack of sleep for many days in a row was tormenting him. It made him dizzy, even nauseous.

"Boss? Are you OK?"

Agnes still put her hand behind Ryan's back. She was afraid that he would suddenly faint again.

"Shall I take you to the hospital?"

Agnes continued to ask. It's not good for them to stay like that. James agreed, but before he could say anything, Ryan shook his head.

"No need. Just take me home.”

Agnes frowned at his choice. But she didn't say anything more, even if she did, he wouldn't have heard. James heard that so he got into the car and started it. Agnes opened the car door and helped Ryan sit inside. She hesitated and then decided to sit next to him. Anyway, she was worried what if he didn't stay awake enough and fell forward, hitting his head on the chair? As the car started to move, she looked over at Ryan. He is closing his eyes. He didn't seem to mind her sitting here.

Agnes, Agnes, why are you so good-natured, especially in front of an obnoxious guy like Ryan? You truly deserve to be an angel.

It took about twenty minutes to get to Ryan's house. It is a high-class villa built separately. It's really big and luxurious. Agnes didn't know how to describe it. It was no different from the houses of world superstars she had seen in magazines. From the swimming pool to the bonsai, everything is meticulously designed and exudes a rich aura.

James drove into the parking lot. He seems familiar with the place. He got out of the car and opened the back door to help Ryan out. Agnes also went down with him. She looked around the parking lot. Didn't expect Ryan to own so many cars. All are expensive ones.

"You two go home."

"Can not."

As soon as Ryan made the offer, Agnes refused. Her voice was so high that the two men turned to look. She also realized that. She shyly corrected her voice and said:

“I mean, you're not feeling well. If no one is around, it's not so good. After all, if you are sick, someone should take care of you."

Agnes felt that the more she spoke, the more confused she became. What she meant was that she wanted someone to stay with Ryan while he was sick like this. She simply thought that if he fainted while alone, it would be quite dangerous. But her good intentions were misunderstood by Ryan. He assumed she was taking the opportunity to approach him. His gaze on Agnes also turned strangely satirical.

"Okay, then you stay."

Ryan smirked. His voice had become hoarse. Then he turned and went straight into the house. Agnes felt that his last sentence carried a bit of irony. She didn't know what to do to make him stop hating her. Even though she was troubled, she was really worried about him.
