Mrs Davis and other staff serve food for Claire's parents. Mathew was sitting there, on the other side of the table Brandon was sitting there too with a very uncomfortable silence between them.
They were not used to having normal conversations. He generally meets Claire's parents in her presence only or whenever he meets them alone is only to give them some warnings or anything like this.
