What caught my attention beyond the waterfall was what seems to be a cave, with the waterfall acting as a thick veil covering it from view.
Only a careful glance could reveal it to the eyes...I looked at it and suddenly felt a bit hopeful that I would find something good inside of it. so I tried to find ways to get into the cave, without getting completely drenched by the waterfall...As per survival instincts, I have to look for shelter first, other things could follow, I thought as I looked from side to side to see if I could find a way around the falls. I kept looking around until my mind took note of what seems like a footpath in between the field of lilies. How I never took note of that is a question left for another day, I thought to myself before deciding to walk towards the footpath..."Well, it's not my fault though, I mean not everyone notices something at first Glance, plus considering the situation am currently in..." I interjected loudly as I tried trailing the footpath hoping it leads me to the cave.I walked for a while in between the field of lilies before, I caught a glimpse of the cave's entrance.I then halted, debating on whether or not to go in."I mean it's a fucking cave in the middle of fucking nowhere," I whisper shout at my self scared that whatever was in there would hear me... as I thought that it could literally be a lion's den.Even though I knew what I was thinking could be true, I forcefully pushed aside the thought, and went in after saying a little prayer, completely unprepared for what I was going to meet.I walked in slowly, taking cautious steps into the cave, and when I got inside I noticed that the cave was huge, bigger than how it had appeared to be from the outside.Aside from that though something else caught my attention...The cave looks lived in..." or was I only imagining things" I said to myself before looking around again just to be sure if what I'm seeing was real or not...A few empty tins lay discarded on the floor of the cave, and a few blocks of wood that looked to have been burned halfway, also laid in a pile by a place that looked as though a fire had been set there not quite long ago, there was also a makeshift bed with a neatly folded blanket on it by the wall...A hooded sweater also hung above the makeshift bed on the wall...After seeing all these, my head became packed with lots of emotions, that I was so confused about what I'm actually feeling right now, or what I should really feel at this exact moment...Because, I'm happy that at least, these items indicates that I'm not going to be alone here, but I'm also scared at the same time... I'm scared that the person that might have been living here could be a creep, terrorist, or even worst a murderer...But the fact that I know I'm not alone in this strange beautiful place sent a certain wave of relief over me...Although my mind kept telling me to leave this place, I couldn't listen to it because where else would I go if I leave here...I'm stranded and this seems like my only chance at a shelter, so before I figure out how to get out of here or at least what to do next I think I'd stay here until that happens.Walking further into the cave, some opening at the end of the cave caught my eye, which appears to be leading somewhere, so I walked towards the opening and shouted..."Hello?!" I shouted a little bit reluctant and then paused for a while before shouting again..."Hello... Anybody here?!" I waited for an answer, but nothing came back except for the echo of my own voice. As I approached the opening, I peeked in, to see what was in there...Wow! I exclaimed out of pure ecstasy, what I saw was breathe taking it was absolutely an amazing creation of God...In front of me was a big puddle of water that was so blue, that one would think a few buckets of paint had been added to it, and it even looked as though steam was coming off from it...just like a hot spring."This is incredible..." I exclaimed with a broad smile spreading across my face making me instantly forget all about my predicament...I approached the water and then reached out to dip my foot in it to see if it was really hot and not just my imagination and surprisingly, it was hot just like I had expected. but it wasn't too hot though it was at a perfect temperature...feeling the temperature of the water, all I wanted to do at that moment was to take a bath, so I quickly took off my clothes and went inside the water... not minding the nag from my subconscious self..."What are you doing keera you could get caught." my subconscious warned but I only ignored it and went on inside the water, I walked inside to the middle, the water reaching just a little below my breasts.I then bent a little bit so I could have my head inside the water as well. While my head was inside I tried to calm my nerves letting the water suit them...I stayed in for a while before coming up for air taking a full sharp intake as if my life depends on it...Well, it literally does.I tried lying on my back, using my hands and feet to keep floating on my back, with my eyes closed, I tried to get a hold of the situation...I have so many questions.I let my mind wandered about what was going on, how I got into this world, and how I was probably going to get out.I tried remembering anything at all about myself, but after hard and long thinking, I could only grab pieces of memories, scraps actually.I can't connect any of them...I then felt like someone was watching me...How is that possible Keera stop imagining crazy things... I chastised my subconsciousNo one is here in this cave... I reassured myself again, but just to be on a safer side, and also because of my curiosity, I wanted to be sure of things, I couldn't take chances. So I open my eyes slowly and...Arrggghhhh....?!!!Keerah POV The sound of someone speaking from a far distance was what pulled me out of the oblivion I was in for a couple of hours. My eyes started to flutter open slowly as the sound of the voice kept growing louder. Since I didn’t open up my eyes all at once, my eyes took the time to adjust to the brightness of the room before it finally opened completely. I turned my head slowly trying to get familiar with my environment, and it looked like I was in a hospital room or something because all the walls were white. I slowly turned my head back to look at the person who’s voice I think woke me up, and that person turned out to be my mom. She was holding up my hand in her two hands, while her head was down, and I think she didn’t realize that I was awake because I didn’t get up, so she continued speaking quietly. "Please baby, you need to wake up," she kept on saying. "Mom," I called out slowly after I had turned my head to where she was seated. She didn’t respond so I assume she
Eric’s POV,I resisted the urge to punch a hole into the hospital wall, so I looked in front of me at two pairs of eyes that were glaring holes into my head that had been staring down at my feet, and I also glared back at him.I couldn’t help but wonder what his relationship with her was, and I don’t think I’m going to like it when I find out what he was to her, because I know he probably wasn’t her brother since she was an only child. We were there for about a few minutes before her parents also came over to where we were standing."What did the doctors say, is my baby going to be okay," Keerah’s mother’s worried voice filled the empty hallways as she quickly came over to the guy standing in front of me."She’s going to be okay Mom, they are just trying to get a few tests done," he replied and that made me knit my eyebrows together.Does that mean he is her brother, if he is then why did no one know about the fact that Keerah had an older brother I thought, as I continued to watch ho
Eric’s POV...The phone rang for quite a while and she didn’t pick up which almost made me start the car to drive over to her apartment, but just before it would stop ringing, she answered with a quiet hello."Hello, " she asked into the phone a few times, but I was quiet because I didn’t think it was okay for me to talk to her over the phone, not after the last conversations we had."Why did you call if you weren’t going to say anything," she said just when I was about to end the call.I sighed loudly and told her I was coming over to her house to have a real talk about the whole pregnancy issue. While I was still speaking with her, I almost forgot that Keerah could actually be the one in danger and that made me yell a few curse words in Italian before ending the call and starting the car quickly and zooming off to the Duke Walters mansion."Shit!" I kept yelling a few times as I thought of the way I had left her back at her house without a a word.I can’t believe I left like that al
Keerah's POV, #previously"And who was the guy that just left?" He asked pointing towards the doorway with a hard look on his face."Oh that was Eric dear, he was the one who found her and he brought her to us," My mom replied to him patiently."Where did he find her, how do we know he is not the person who kidnapped her," Damien said his voice filled with doubt. My mom tried to narrate the whole story that Eric had told her when we came earlier to him and I watched how he listened attentively to everything she said and when she was done speaking, he also spoke."So let me get this straight." He said and paused for a while before starting to speak again."So what you're saying is she woke up on an island with no memories at all, and that island also happened to be the same island where this so-called Eric was having a vacation, and it was just the two of them on that island for God knows how long, and he claims he doesn't know or have any idea how she ended up there," Damien said, re
Eric's POV,We finished with the funeral after a while and everyone was beginning to leave, but we didn't move. I, Karl and Harry waited behind, but I looked from side to side watching the faces of all the people leaving, and someone among the crowd caught my attention. "Mel!" I grunted and took fast strides but before I would catch up to her, she blended into the crowd.I stopped and looked around but she was nowhere to be found and if not for the fact that I locked eyes with her, then I would have thought that my head made her up, because I was thinking of ways to find her. However, no matter how much I looked around the crowd, I still couldn't find her. At this point, my blood was boiling over. I can't believe she had the damn guts to attend his funeral after what she did."Hey what's going on," Karl asked me coming over to where I was standing. It was the first words he had spoken to me since I arrived."I just saw Mel," I replied still looking around."Yo I don't think she'll com
Third-person POV.Damien left her in the room after a he kept getting a lot of phone calls about the meeting he was supposed to be attending.Although he wanted to continue to stay in her embrace, he couldn't help but go for the meeting because he knew it was important and it wouldn't hold without him. After he left Sia in her room she stayed in bed like always imagining what it would be like after her young miss returns.Although she knew she was going to be extremely excited, she still couldn't help but feel a little anxious that she might still be in danger when she returns. She was lost in those thoughts when a knock sounded on her door."Yes," she answered. "you can come in," she added when the person didn't come in after a while."Hi," the person at the door said slowly with a raise of her hand, it was Joey "I came to return this," she said shaking the hand drier in her hand."Thank you for lending it to me," Joey said before dropping it on top of the bed side table.Sia didn't
Keerah's POVEven though Eric was gone for a few minutes now, I couldn't help but have a tiny bit of the hope that he would turn around even for a split second just to tell me he would be back. But he didn't, I waited and waited and continued to wait all the while ignoring all the questions thrown at me by the guy who was seated on the chair beside me, the same guy who had been hugging only a while ago."Hey, Damien let her be for now," I heard my mom say to the guy who was seated beside me."She doesn't remember anything, " she added."Oh my God, baby are you okay?" My mom asked with a sort of urgency in her voice and that snapped me out of my thoughts."Look, Damien, you made her cry," she scolded the guy beside me.I didn't understand why she said that because I did not realize the tears I had been trying so hard to hold back has rolled down my cheeks until I reached up to my hands to my face and touched the wetness on it.I quickly got rid of the tears and then shook my head slowl
Eric's POV,I smiled at everyone awkwardly before quickly apologizing for cursing out loud, something I'm sure they are probably not used to.I can't believe I had totally forgotten about Park Min. He fucking just died and I'm already too busy to remember the funeral.I couldn't bring myself to spend even a second more in that place, so I got up and left after informing the families that I really needed to leave because something important came up.Keerah's mom even asked if I might need help with anything and I thanked her before declining her offer to help while letting her know it wasn't something I needed help with.I hurried out of the house and into my car, which was still parked at the front door, and zoomed out of the place in a heartbeat.I can't believe I almost missed his funeral, which was the only thing I could do for him now that he was dead and never coming back.I drove the car at a high speed not bothering about the speed warnings at the side of the road since the onl
Keerah's POV.One of the girls walked over to the door and threw it open and then said "Your bath Mi lady."I walked over to the opened door and I was mind blown by the interior of the bathroom.I never thought a privy could be so damn beautiful with marvellous interior designs.I walked inside the bathroom and saw a big bathtub that was filled with bubbly scented water and a few red rose petals in the middle of the gigantic bathroom. The bathroom was as big as my room at Eric's place and I couldn't help but fall in love with every bit of its design. When I was completely inside the bathroom, the girl who had opened the doors for me, told me they'll be right outside the door if I need anything, before she closed the door.Although I wasn't thrilled about taking a bath at first, my mind had completely changed the moment I saw the bathroom, so I stripped off my clothes and entered into the bathtub.I noticed the small tub that was connected to the large bathtub and I assumed that was pr
