What happened

Keerah POV

The sound of someone speaking from a far distance was what pulled me out of the oblivion I was in for a couple of hours.

My eyes started to flutter open slowly as the sound of the voice kept growing nigher.

Since I didn’t open up my eyes all at once, my eyes took the time to adjust to the brightness of the room before it finally opened completely.

I turned my head slowly trying to get familiar with my environment, and it looked like I was in a hospital room or something because all the walls were white.

I slowly turned my head back to look at the person who’s voice I think woke me up, and that person turned out to be my mom.

She was holding up my hand in her two hands, while her head was down, and I think she didn’t realize that I was awake because I didn’t get up, so she continued speaking quietly.

"Please baby, you need to wake up," she kept on saying.

"Mom," I called out slowly after I had turned my head to where she was seated.
