Her Temper

THE NEXT DAY, Samantha doesn’t know how to face the man. “For Pete’s sake, she's your boyfriend... nothing to be ashamed of,” she whispered.

She got off her bed and went straight to the bathroom to take a bath—it’s her daily routine when she wakes up every morning.

She took a deep breath and exhaled before she exited her room. Her eyes darted to the vintage wall clock and it was just five in the morning. She continued to walk through the kitchen to get some water.

As she enters the kitchen her eyes widened when she saw Andrius wearing a cute apron—her hello kitty apron, while flipping something in the pan.

The man looked at her as she walks closer. Andrius smiled at her. “Good morning, babe,” he greeted.

Putting the incident last night at the back of her head, she walked closer to him. she gave him a peck on his lips. Andrius seemed stunned by what she did but get back to his senses immediately as she talks. “What’s that?”

“An omelet for breakfast,” he replied and took another peck on her lips. “Hmm… what a heavenly scent,” he added which make her step backward.

He laughed. “You scared?” he teased.

I rolled my eyes. “With whom? To you?” she scoffed. “Of course, not.”

She walks through the fridge ad grabbed some water from the pitcher.

“So, where do you plan to take me?” she asked.

Andrius put the omelet on the plate and put back the pan on the stove. He removed his apron and hang it near the stove.

“Let’s eat this first,” he pointed to the omelet he made, “then we’ll go to your dad’s office,” he said.

She frowned. “What will you do at my dad’s office?”

“I’m going to ask his permission if I could take her lovely daughter for a one-week vacation in Los Angeles.”

She gasped in shock and cover her mouth with her palm. “W-What?”

Andrius smiled. “I want you to meet my parents. And it’s my mother’s birthday—”

“I thought we’re going—”

“In a date?” he cut in. “Of course, we were, once we get there and I want you to see my business.”

Andrius never fails to amuse her and to throw surprises. And what did she do in her past life that she deserves this kind of love from him? Guess, being his stripper once in the Peregrine club was their path to each other. And she will never forget how she slapped his handsome face.

“Of course, I’d love to,” she replied.

They finished their light breakfast first before they went into each other rooms to get prepared. Since she was just wearing a robe—yes, she wore a robe when they eat, and she did ensure that her robe was tied tightly.

She just wore her striped jumpsuit and flat sandal. She put her phone and wallet inside her sling bag.

She laughed when she saw Andrius closing the door of his room. They did it almost in unison.

“You’re ravishing,” he complimented which makes her blush.

“Thank you,”

They both walked out to her suite and crossed the distance to the elevator. When she got inside her mind thought about Andrius' plans. Would her father permit her?

“Do you think he’ll agree?” she asked and looked up.

Andrius held her hand and pressed it. “Of course, he will,” he assured.

‘I hope so,’ she thought. And for sure, her father will be shocked with the news that Andrius and her are officially on. And for her, it’s so fast. But it’s the relationship that lasts not the courtship. There are so many things she’d been through since she landed in Las Vegas. At first, she just wanted to find his father, but God bless her more and found the love of her life. Though it’s too early to celebrate, she’s still happy about it. She knew that they will still overcome so many hurdles in life and test their love for each other.

Marcy greeted them when they arrived at her father’s office.

“Princess!” her father called out when he saw her.

She walked towards him and kissed her father’s cheek. “Good morning, Dad,” she greeted.

Her father always calls her princess because she was his only princess, and she finds it sweet. It was one of her dreams and she finally had it.

“Andrius, son, what brought you here?” Her father pointed to the seat in front of his table.

“I just want to—”

“Dad, please don’t get mad, all right?” she cut in.

Her father looked at her with his queried eyes.

“Sir, we—”

“Dad... Andrius and I are in a relationship—if you ask will ask if he courted me, the answer is no.”

Silence filled in for seconds before the four corners of her dad’s office were filled with laughter.

She frowned.

“Oh, my Samantha, sweetie, no need to panic. Calm down, will you?” her father said as he pressed her hand. “Go, sit down beside Andrius,” he added.

Andrius stood up and approached her, he then guided her towards the seat. It’s her second time embarrassing herself right in front of Andrius. How stupid is she?

“Is it true, Andrius? You got my daughter's heart?” Mr. Johansson asked as he looked at the man beside her.

Andrius nodded, “yes, Sir.”

Mr. Johansson laughed again. “I can’t believe it and you knew that I like you, young man. So, there’s no problem with that.”

She breathed a sigh of relief.

“And we are here to ask for your permission, Sir.”

“For what?” Mr. Johansson sat down on his swivel chair.

“I want to bring Sam to L.A. to have a one-week vacation.”

Her father looked at her, “you have a practice, right? For the upcoming event at Atticus?” her father asked. He’s pertaining to the event of ramp models that will be held in the Atticus Convention Center.

Andrius looked at her. “I’m sorry. I forgot about it.” She looked at her dad, “can’t we postpone it? Besides, it’s still the end of the month, dad.”

“Are you okay with that? It’s up to you, I’m not the one who will perform,” her dad said which makes her shake her head.

“We’ll get back after three days then,” Andrius finally said.

She looked at him. “But…”

The man nodded, “it’s fine. Mom’s birthday will be tomorrow, it’s the important event we’re going to,” he said.

She knew that Andrius got dismayed and she felt like she did something to him because she didn’t tell him about the upcoming event, she was invited in. She doesn’t want to perform but her father said that it’s her chance. Besides she loves performing.

When they got out of her father’s office, Andrius is still in silence. She concluded then that she has messed for something.

She reached for the man’s hand, and Andrius stopped. “I’m sorry. I swear, I forgot about it. It was scheduled for last week, before the Silver Dust event. I’m sorry.”

Andrius smiled. “Nothing to worry about. It’s okay.”

She enveloped her arms to his nape and kissed the man on the lips. She felt Andrius's body stunned by her unpredictable move and slowly their lips fight at the same pace. They just broke it when they gasped for air.

“I love you,” she said and Andrius just nodded. At that moment she knew that the man held a little grudge against her because of the thought that she didn’t bring up the event.

She sighed. How can she tell it when she also forgot about it?

“You don’t love me?” she asked and looked straight into his eyes.

The man looked away.

“Come on, Andrius. Don’t be a meanie.”

Andrius move his head but never looked down. Still acting like a madman.

She then let go of his hand and walked towards the elevator. If he doesn’t want to believe her, then fine. She’s a short-tempered woman. She doesn’t want to tame people when they don’t want to. Even if it’s Andrius—her boyfriend.
