I stood there, trying to process the whirlwind of emotions Williams' sudden apology and offer of freedom had unleashed. I was shocked, confused, and struggling to make sense of his drastic change in behavior.

From his nonchalance about me lying on his bed without permission to the helicopter ride and now this, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to it and not just because of our fight last night. When I couldn't think of any solid reason behind his actions, I decided to brush it aside for a moment and ask him about something that had been bothering me since that night he drove me out in the middle of our intimacy.
