Chapter 27: Don't fire him

I studied Williams, and he didn't appear angry, making me feel a little disappointed.

"How long have you been in the room?" I asked him, getting myself into a sitting position.

"Get dressed, we need to go somewhere," he said, ignoring my question.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll find out once you do as I say, wifey. Just wear something comfortable," he said, his expression not giving away anything.

I bit my lips to stop myself from blushing at the manner which he drawled the 'wifey' and his gaze lingered on my lips for a moment, making me blush eventually.

I reluctantly got out of the bed and went to find something to wear from the wardrobe. My thought ran wild as I thought of where he could be taking me. What if he wanted to punish me? Maybe he couldn't tolerate me anymore after last night. I stole a glance at him and his enigmatic expression only added to my uneasy. I tried to push the thought aside, telling myself I was being paranoid.
