Elena's POV

I answer the video call. I guess she knew how much I needed her. It's been a while since we spoke.

"Elena, I'm so sorry I haven't called for a long time. I've been busy with work and your dad..." She paused, not wishing to remember what happened between them.

"Of course I know you've busy to just have a minute call with your...." I pause and continue. "Whatever." I say, feeling irritated by the word 'daughter'.

"Elena...." She says slowly, feeling guilty.

I put the cigarette between my lips, exhaling the smoke.

"You don't need to ask, I'm fine," I say, wiping the tears at the corner of my eyes.

"Elena are you smoking?!" 

"Mom, nothing's going to happen. It has been seven years since I had an attack."

"It's too dangerous. Elena, stop this. I don't want to loo..." She got worried.
