“You’re the devil.” Her words finally make him smile, her heart stops, realising she agreed to give her life to the devil himself and that she agreed there would be no turning back. No way of escaping whatever pain he decides to inflict on her.
How crazy is she? People talk about making a deal with the devil as a joke, a joke about people who are cruel and nasty. Never did she think she would actually make a deal with the actual devil herself.
Standing, he nods. He knows now there is no way he can let her go, no way at all, so he has to try not to kill her. How this will work, he doesn’t know.
