Chapter 22: Make or Break
Lucifer
Lana’s form wavers before me as she watches her sister begin to plummet. I try to reach Fallon and Bree, but The Creator pulls them away.
To my surprise, Lana catches Bree before she could fall and flies her to a safer spot. I don’t know what made her save Bree, but I don’t question it as I stab at the Creator’s talon and manage to seize Fallon from his hold. “Fallon,” I call to him as I desperately try to heal his wound. “I'm fine…” he sputters weakly as blood pours from his lips, “…he missed my heart.”
